[ They're trying to get to the clinic when it happens. There's a howl close by and they run, but there's no way they'll make it. The clinic is still three floors down and the hound is too close, so River shoves Simon down the hall and makes a sharp turn before running in the opposite direction. They get lucky, it follows her, but it isn't the most well thought out plan.

The problem is, she can't see it, and she doesn't have a thing to fight with. Some salt, sure, but not enough to block the hallway and stay safe. She runs, but she's not fast enough. River tries though, she keeps running until she finds an empty room with the intention of shutting herself in again, but she doesn't make the salt barrier fast enough.

The door bursts open and she gets knocked back, and that's it. She's gone, she can't fight these things. She can try to fight them, but this is it. She's going to die. ]

Until Wonderland, Zacharie had always been a step ahead. It was in the script. Being where he was needed, when he was needed. (Though that was hardly an advantage. The end result was not a happy one no matter what ending the player chose.)

That little "ability" has not come in handy much in Wonderland until now.

It's not that he really knows that River is in trouble. He's just in a place, and then he's not. Appearing and reappearing like a flickering image on a broken television. He doesn't really question it; one moment he's taking a stroll in the yards, the next he's walking through an upper story hallway and there's a snarling invisible beast that he hurriedly shuffles away from. Nothing heroic.

And then in one of these little ventures he hears a door slam open. Normal people would take this as a sign to get the fuck out because that's some horror movie shit. Zacharie, being from a rather horrifying game, immediately goes to check it out, and it's basically like when you stumble into a cut scene in Resident Evil and realize you have to fucking fight a monster. This time there is no badass dog you've freed from a trap to help. It's just some weirdo in a mask against an invisible hellbeast.

Welp.

Seemingly out of nowhere he draws a bigass sword and slashes at the creature. There's no salt and he's not even really an angel, he's like Angel Lite, so it doesn't do much except to draw the hellhound's attention toward him.

He says one thing. ]

Run.

[ NOT THAT FUCKING HELPFUL WHEN YOU'RE BLOCKING THE DOOR ZACHARIE but maybe she can jump out a window or somersault over him to escape idek. ]
