+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

You can do this.
[Freya has every faith in her.]

She shifts on her knees to release some of the pressure of her kneecaps and settles in, not knowing how long this is going to take.
And then she starts to gently squeeze his heart in a steady rhythmn, trying to get his blood flowing at least a little bit. Once she sets a steady and hopefully somewhat natural pace, her gaze turns toward his face, watching for some kind of reaction, anything that might indicate that he's getting what he needs.]
sorry sis
it builds and throbs in him. it burns. it melds and molds, that hunger and that pain, into one excruciating and impossible scream that wracks and ruins him. all he knows is agony from every cell in his ravaged body, and the blood trickling over his tongue, down his throat, and inching through his sandpaper veins.
he knows slowly, his heart struggling to beat, his throat beginning to swallow, that this elixir is the only thing he craves.
the only relief.
the blackness of his branching veins start to fade. his pulse stutters to life. the beast in him awakens first, beckoned by that starvation; his hand lifts to hold that wrist to his mouth the moment he can, to hold it close.
his fangs drop. desperate and insatiable, he bites. ]
she'll survive
That's it. Drink.

She feels numb with quiet relief as the adrenaline rushing through her veins starts to fade, a shuddering breath exhaling from between her lips, and she forgets how stained her fingers are as she drags them through her hair, which is likely already matted and as soiled with crimson as the rest of her in the wake of the fight.
A fight which isn't over yet, she distantly realizes.]

he is healing, slowly but surely knitting together.
he lifts his head to bite again, harder, deeper, but with this greed comes awareness; his eyes open and he falls back to suck in a rattling, gasping breath.
his body shakes with its weakness, with his vulnerability, with his anger awakened from its death. for a moment he doesn't know where he is or how he landed here, only those familiar and insidious terrors he lived with everyday, and then he remembers the giant. the sword. caroline's voice. how he wished she'd stay back.
he sees his sister's bleeding wrist still firm in his grasp and her halo of hair above him. ) Freya, ( the name is spoken, gruff and demanding, where there are no other words. the pain and weakness and fight in him compels him to attempt to sit and to reach for his chest, despite the wound just healing over. he blanches. )
no subject
[As much as he isn't used to being in this position, she feels the need to remind him anyway. She reaches out gently to let her free hand rest against his shoulder and offer him her support.]
It will take more blood than that for you to heal fully. While the barrier spell will hold, we should try and get you off the field.

She lets out a little sound of exasperation as she moves closer again, her arm slipping under his lower back in case his strength fails him. She doesn't think she can take another close call like that and agitating what's barely even remotely fixed doesn't seem like the most solid plan.
Getting somewhere safer does, though. She wants to keep fighting, to slaughter the things that were capable of this before they did it to anyone else, but watching someone she cared about almost die has managed to shuffle around her priorities a bit despite Wonderland's urgings to do otherwise.]
Don't push yourself so hard. [She's more willing to plead.] Let us help.

none but his dignity.
he would summon it back to life to kill it again.)
he doesn't fight. he doesn't say a word, in point of fact, too weak and agitated to do so. his lips purse with anger and pain as he leans to freya and then distributes the bulk of his weight to caroline — she would be more capable, and supremely less injured. he'll accept the help, but he will stand.
his arm circles caroline's waist.
if you don't think he's leaning against her heavily just because he can too, you wrong.the battle still rages. his gaze flits over it, his voice low and slurred in his light-headedness; around the blood in his mouth. ) Where are we going?
no subject
Do you see somewhere where they're gathering the wounded or those who aren't fighters?
no subject
[She gestures toward where it stands tall. It's not particularly close, but they have an advantage.]
The faster we get there the better.
[Klaus might not be as quick as normal, but shouldn't have too much difficulty getting them both there if they can hang onto her.]

he is hungry.
also a baby)no subject
It's too dangerous for you to feed from those on the field in your current state, and I don't think they would question people dying from war wounds too much, so long as you're not obvious about it.
[And there's cold and pragmatic Freya again. It's been a while.]
no subject
You're not eating any of the wounded.
[She enjoyed this fight as much as the next person, but come on.]
They might have, you know, medical supplies for blood transfusions and stuff.

he sees both of their points. even if the later is less appetizing, he's in no state to be picky. he supposes it also wouldn't be worth the trouble of caroline's displeasure.
regardless, he is flagging. ) Get me there. Or I will sink my teeth somewhere else. ( he murmurs this next to caroline's ear, head lolling to his shoulder.
#hangry )
no subject
He's not the only one we need to worry about.
[They are still in the middle of a battle field.]
