FIRE CANDY EVENT POST [OPEN]

Who: You. That's right, YOU. [OPEN]
Where: EVERYWHERE!
When: March 19th, starting at midnight
Rating: To be determined. First offer is PG-13 for drug use.
Summary: CANDY RAVE PARTY IS GO!
The Story:

"At exactly midnight on the 19th, the mansion becomes a club where the party never stops--even if you want it to. Neon and black lights flicker everywhere and loud music makes the walls shake. Outside, Wonderland has become a grungy city of doorless buildings, lit up in neon that makes it impossible to make out any stars in the sky. The only normal fixture of Wonderland that remains are the merchants, though residents will find them changed. Their masks are the faces of animals, their booths are run down, and they'll swindle, scam, and even steal from you if you don't watch out.

But that's not all. What rave would be complete without candy? It's all over the place, littering every surface, in all shapes and colors. The floors are littered with empty wrappers that tempt you: everyone else is doing it, so it can't hurt to have a piece. Right? ♥

And it doesn't! Not at first, anyway. At first, it's quite pleasant, inducing cheerful, playful, laid back moods in anyone who consumes it. It's quite addictive once you've had a taste, but there seems to be plenty to go around."

Then the post says something about changes when the 20th rolls around. But today is not the 20th, so who cares? IT'S PARTY TIME!

"Can't it be both?" She's heard enough people refer to the mansion as if it has a mind of its own that she's starting to think of it that way too. In a way the place kind of reminds her of Sue, albeit in a more affectionate way than she'd like to admit.

"I guess we can at least be thankful it ain't actually hurtin' anyone." Beiste pauses, then adds. "Well, not yet anyhow." She's not sure how piles of candy and loud music could do anyone any long term damage, and the flashing lights are probably only a problem for epileptics and the like. She wonders if someone should start constructing darkened areas just in case that becomes an issue.

Spencer shrugs lightly. "I guess so, if this Queen really is in charge. I guess I was more kind of hoping it might be one of us so I knew it wasn't going to go on for days on end."

Nodding as Beiste commented on the event not hurting anyone, Spencer agreed, "It's certainly less freaky than the shadow thing. Let's just hope it stays that way." Truthfully, Spencer had her doubts. But for now she was keeping those doubts to herself. Who knew, perhaps this was the Mansion being benevolent, however unlikely that seemed.

apparently LJ decided to post thsi somewhere else. :|

"They could've warned us, maybe, but other than that..." Beiste is bobbing her head again, not even really aware she's doing it. "Let's just hope nobody gets a cavity from all that candy."

She looks at a pile sitting a few feet away, wondering if it'd be wise to eat it anyway. She's not sure if razor-blades are a concern, but, well. Damn near anything seems possible here.

Oh LJ! Is there no end to the fail!

Spencer nods at this. "Warning would have been nice. But then I suppose that would take away the chance to watch us all get confused and annoyed with what's going on."

Following her gaze to the candy, Spencer frowns a little. "If a cavity is the worst that comes from it, I'll be surprised. There's an awful lot of it just lying around...rather convenient, huh?" Spencer was fast becoming automatically suspicous of everything about Wonderland - it just seemed safer that way.
