Who: Balthazar (or Mirror!Balthazar), and OPEN
Where: the gardens
When: Wednesday-ish
Rating: PG-13-ish?
Summary: Balthazar is just having a nice little booze picnic. The Mirror version is looking for information.
Armed with a blanket from his room, a cooler of beer and bourbon, and a set of sidewalk chalk he retrieved from his closet, Balthazar has found a place to settle, amidst the garden he first stumbled through when he arrived. Now he's in a better state to appreciate the beauty. They may all be in a prison, but at least it's a pretty prison, and well-stocked with comforts.
Anyone who comes upon him will be offered a drink, of course. The later in the day he's found, the more elaborate will be the chalk design he's sketching onto the brick path. It's not recognizable as any specific person or item, just a tangle of color and repeating patterns. Maybe it means something to him.
Leviazar is not interested in alcohol, except as a tool to lubricate social interactions and get others' guards down. He's even less interested in chalk art. Today, he's stayed inside, despite having seen his real depart for the open air. There are other people to watch, on both sides of the mirrors. But a close observer on the realside may catch him tracing Enochian sigils in steamed-up glass, with the tip of one finger.

I will look for your Mirror, he writes. It was something he was going to do, anyway. It's possible the Mirror version won't be of any use at all, of course, but it's a good place to start.
I know enough. He grimaces eloquently. Ugh, angels. He considers a moment, then writes slowly Castiel. He's important to Balthazar.
He's a little reluctant to approach Castiel's mirror himself. There's something sharp and uncomfortable that twitches in his brain when he thinks about him. He can't be sure whether that's remnants of emotion from his Real or something instinctive from within him. Regardless, he's being cautious.
Perhaps Crowley, also. He adds.

Both of those names were very familiar to Dick. He had not exactly gone looking for either of them here, but he knew that they were. it was high time that he went out of his way to get reacquainted. Both of them being here felt almost like a gift to him. It was quite rude of them to not say hello to him when he originally made his public announcement. He was starting to get the feeling that he was not wanted here...well until now that is.
He noted the other's reactions with an understanding that most would not. There were many annoying beings in all of creation and angels ranked among some of the most annoying and disgusting really. Add in a few humans and demons and it was practically a convention of the most detestable scum one might find at the bottom of their shoes.
"You're in luck there. I know both of them well enough. Castiel happened to be the vessel for myself and the rest of the Leviathan to be able to finally escape Purgatory. I think paying him a little visit to thank him again for the ride is definitely in order. As for Crowley....what a spineless waste of an existence he is."
There was much more he would need to uncover, but he a show of good faith by starting into what he did know tended to strengthen a growing bond.
"That's just for starters. I hope that wets your appetite."

Castiel was a vessel? That must have been after my Real died. He has some rudimentary memory from Balthazar, and that's not a part of it. Interesting.
Appetite, haha! What do demons taste like?

Now this was where Dick got to reminisce on his past meals. Oh, he has a rather nice smile on his face now. He felt like he had not had a damn bite in centuries. All of these residents were being paraded in front of him like prime steaks and he had yet to even have a sample of it. This growing need for food did not show on his face. He did have an image even in front of the other.
"Every being has a different taste to it. I had demon once or twice. Add a little spice to them and they can be uniquely delicious."

The talk is making Leviazar hungry, as well, but he has no past memories to compare his current fare to. Listening to Dick talk, he realizes that for the moment that's a good thing. Not knowing what he's missing will make him less distractible. Not that the real Leviathan seems to have much trouble controlling himself. But he may be an extraordinary example.
There's another demon: Meg. Working on an alliance with the mirrorside version.

All the trouble she caused for Dick just being in the same league with the Winchesters and the mobile vessel Castiel...he really needed to see Meg again. He would have to purposely run into her sometime and give her a nice little greeting. He doubted it would be anything but their own brand of pleasant that could only come between a Leviathan and a demon whore. He digressed though. As for the hunger, that was just one of the many perks of being at the very top of not only the respective food chain, but of his own kind.
"I'm pleased to hear that. Already making progress before we met. I wish I had that kind of dedication from the rest of those beneath me."
if all of that worked out then he would very much like to meet this mirror of Meg.

Guess I'm a self-starter? He's flattered, and pleased. Seems like they both have their assignments now, though. Maybe they should go get started. Any more questions for me?

Dick did think it was important to let others know when they were doing a good job. That kept the peace and losing anybody that might as well be an ally here was not an option.
"I'm going to keep my eyes open for anybody on this side that might end up being useful."
As for questions for this one, he had plenty of things he could bring up. They could be here all day and neither of them would get anything done. There was no time like the present to get to work. They would have to make this a regular meeting to trade information.
"I suppose whatever other questions can wait to get this started. I want to keep in touch though. I'm flexible to when and where."

He considers a moment. He spends a great deal of time in his real's vicinity, like all the other mirrors, but it might be smarter not to meet anywhere too directly connected to either the Real Balthazar or the Mirror Dick. He chuckles to himself softly as he writes his suggestion: The kitchen? In a week?

"Kitchen in a week. I'll be there making a sandwich."
Good on this guy for being the first one he felt he could count on here. He had a really good feeling about this. He did not want to hold him up anymore than he felt that he had. It was necessary.
"It really is a shame you're on that side of the mirror. We have to work with what we got though."
no subject
Maybe not forever. We'll get by. He has allies on his side of the mirror, but this guy is a man after his own heart. They may actually get somewhere, working together.
But not today. Leaving now. TTYL! He writes, then wipes the glass clean and withdraws to get to work.
