The Story:

The first day is going to go by a little bit better than the days afterwards, after day one is when it's gonna get pretty gruesome and also Isaac's mental stability is quickly going to be deteriorating until the final day when he gets bit. ]

[ He can't go back in time and fix any of that. His father raised him to be involved in his own business and that was it. You didn't stick your neck out and go butting into other people's crap. You didn't do any of that. You stayed on your side of things and so Jackson did. Besides self sacrificing is not a set of words that was used often in the Whittemore household. His parents tried, but deep down Jackson never felt like he was part of their family. It's a familiar feeling he gets now that he's stuck here. He knows that Isaac, Scott, Allison, Stiles, Cora and even sometimes Derek are always going to protect each other, but he's almost certain they wouldn't lift a finger to help Jackson. Maybe Allison, but sometimes he doesn't know if that's out of actual friendship or obligation to Lydia. That part sucks.

He schools his face back to neutral though and just huffs. He knows Isaac hates him. It's a similar feeling that Jackson gets when he looks at the kid. He wants everyone to forgive him for being a power hungry douche who was willing to kill Lydia, but he can't do the same for others. Makes Jackson wanna punch him more. But Jackson is int he same boat. He doesn't want to forgive Isaac, but there is a part of him that wants forgiveness. Wants to not be looked at and seen as a monster. Cora doesn't do that, but Cora didn't witness first hand what Jackson had been capable of. The thing Jackson still had nightmares about. She never saw that side.

Jackson reaches down and roughly grabs Isaac by the collar. He hauls him to his feet because height isn't an issue for Jackson. Without his powers that means Isaac is just a tall lanky idiot. Jackson's always been a bully though. Always been good at throwing his weight around. ] Shut up and don't make a big deal about it. [ He turns them away and Jackson opens his coat slowly. He lifts his shirt to show him the bite. He shuts his eyes for a moment and swallows hard. ] I need you to stop me before I turn.

[ Isaac makes an annoyed grunt, hands immediately going to grab at the one at his collar - his mouth is already open to make a big deal about "hey what the fuck, let me go!" but he's being silenced and told not to make a big deal out of it... His mouth closes before he's turned away from the others. Again his mouth opens to ask what the fuck Jackson's problem is but then up goes his shirt and dear god - what in the hell is that? Except, he doesn't need to ask, he knows exactly what it is.

He can't help but gape at the bite, his hand raises to hover for a moment before he jerks it back as if to question what the fuck he was thinking. The taller's eyes lift from the injury to Jackson's eyes - there isn't sympathy on his face, but there's something there. This is the same asshole who let him suffer for years, mocked him, not to mention all the other shit... And yet Isaac can't help but feel he doesn't even deserve this. ] When - When did you...? [ Isaac doesn't remember Jackson getting bit, but there have been a plethora of moments when all of them could have been.

It takes him a second to register the request.

I need you to stop me before I turn. ] What? [ His voice is quiet and tight, Jackson sure as hell isn't asking him what he thinks he's asking him. He tenses his jaw as he tries to hide the tension overwhelming him from the others. Why weren't any of them interfering? God, normally he'd leap at the idea of killing Jackson, but right now? With everything so tense, so fucked up, personal vendetta was way lower on the list than surviving. ]
