Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:

The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.

In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.

There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.

But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.

(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)

[Souji misses being a hero. Here, he's just short of being a normal teenager, based on his track record.]

...I died again. [This wasn't really what he wanted to spend however long they have together talking about, but maybe it's better than pretending everything is amazing while stuffing his face.]

[The first thing he thought when he got here, was if anything had happened to Souji in his absence. Something he could have prevented. He knew the odds of happy accidents were against him, but... For the first time, he looks truly crestfallen.]

...I'm sorry. [He tightens his grip on Souji's hand leans the side of his head up against his neck.] I couldn't be there.

Seeing it wouldn't be a problem-- whatever, we've been through this. Pointless argument. I would have wanted to be there anyways.

I miss you too-- I guess? I mean, I feel like I should. I remember everything.

Everyone at home's okay? Do you hear from me often?

Oh, yeah! [He brightens up; even he loves Inaba.] Everyone at home's great. Me'n the girls are all in the same class again-- and it's fun being senpai to the others.

I hear from you all the time. It's kinda funny actually; Whenever someone wants to talk to you, they talk to me first. Like I'm your stand-in or something. I hear all the world's troubles and funnel them back to you. I tell them they can just call you directly, but... I guess they'd all rather talk to someone first.

I'm glad you're there for them.

[Souji smiles to himself.]

Thank you. [He'd like to be there to do it himself.]

You'd do it better. You know I bungle shit up sometimes.

I wish I could be there. [Even when he gets back, he won't be home. Blah. He shrugs though.]

What do you want to do?

[masukukunai]

You want to be, so it's okay.

Hey, I'm yours. This situation isn't for my benefit, right?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji pauses in consideration. It hadn't seemed like Wonderland could sustain drawing in so many people at once, but he'd hoped....]

I guess you'll go back after awhile.

[masukukunai]

[He gives Souji a sorry smile.]

Yeah. I'm getting that vibe too.

[eatsyourscience]

[It feels a bit opportunistic to ask if they can have sex before Yousuke leaves, so Souji tables that thought for the moment.]

Let's go somewhere else. There are too many people here.

[masukukunai]

"Too many people?"

[Yousuke laughs with a toothy grin.]

Come on Souji, you can manage a better pick-up line than that.

[eatsyourscience]

I don't really need pick-up lines.

[He gives Yousuke another kiss.]

[masukukunai]

You're still such a cocky bastard...

[Souji starts to lead Yousuke out of the ballroom. He doesn't plan to go too far--probably just to the kitchen.]

Did you think I'd change that much?

[masukukunai]

I guess not. I should probably stop letting you get away with it.

[eatsyourscience]

If you didn't like it, you'd probably have stopped me from getting away with it already.
