Summary: As an apology for all of the mess associated with the redecorating last week, the Red Queen has organized a party for everyone in Wonderland, and invited
The Story:

The ballroom's high, arching ceilings seem to reach up at least two stories above your head, despite the fact that there are definitely second and third story rooms above this spot. High, wide windows let in sunlight during the day; at night, chandeliers and wall sconces light up with so many candles, it's hard to believe the light isn't from an electric source.

In preparation for the incoming guests, the ballroom has been decorated in light, pastel colors. There are many streamers and balloons, and garlands made with fresh flowers that will not wither for the entire four-day duration of the party. Confetti floats through the air now and then, but upon closer inspection it is not paper, but flower petals. There is a long table set up towards the back with beautiful flower arrangements and more food and drink than anyone could imagine, including an abundance of cake, tea, and alcohol of various kinds.

There are smaller tables to the side if you would like to sit and talk or eat, but there is a great space open as well for mingling and dancing. Various kinds of music will be played throughout the weekend, though there does not seem to be any particular source - no stereo system or DJ booth to be seen.

But most importantly, the party will cater itself to what makes you, the guest, most comfortable. This is your night and you are guests of Wonderland. There's no need to worry or fear. The mansion will take care of you so long as you are in its walls.

(And perhaps, when the party is over, you won't want to leave at all.)

[Why is Souji so nice? Minato didn't quite understand. He could roll with it though.]

... What would you give up for someone like to get something that I want that has nothing really to do with you?

Other Persona users do have something to do with me.

But that means you'll spend your time with them more instead of just me.

It will be hard to spend time with you if you're on the other side. I can write to you, though, if you'd like that.

[Souji's so nice. Minato still found it hard to believe. But maybe he could believe in a lie since it felt nice.]

I would, if I can write to you... But I don't know if the room across from yours is occupied or not.

You could always see how I am in the fifth room on the third floor. Or we can pick a mirror that's ours somewhere and you can check it. Like a mailbox or something.

Let's find a mirror just for us. There must be a room that's empty on both sides. Or maybe in one of the tea rooms.

Would that really be okay?

[Minato moved a little closer to Souji, then poked his arm as if to test if he were tangible and real.]

Ne, there's a tearoom on the third floor with a mirror near a window. I only know because the light's good there if it's coming in from outside.

[It made painting convenient with natural light. And they could always switch to a different glass mirror if they had to.]

[Souji blinks at the poke, but turns his attention to the location Minato's describing. He nods.]

That sounds like a good place.

But how often are you actually going to show up there?

[Minato poked Souji's arm again, and then for a third time. Souji was pretty solid and tangible and real.]

How often do you want to talk?

But what if I want to talk every day?

Then I'll come every day. Sometimes it might only be for a little while, but it's not a problem.

[Minato blinked. Why was Souji being so nice to him? Minato was being so selfish.

He lowered his head a bit, looking at his shoes.]

I don't want you to have to do that for me even if I want it. I don't even know if you want it, but you're saying you are. Is that a promise or you just saying that?

You don't have to do anything for my benefit.

Let's compromise. I'll come every other day. How about that?

[Minato frowned again.]

No, it's okay. Once a week should be fine since that means I might have more to tell you in one shot instead of pieces of it every other day.

Besides, I might not be... free every other day either, although I would like to be, if I get to talk to you.

I understand. [Souji offers an encouraging smile.] We'll start out once a week. How about Wednesday? That way events shouldn't get in the way.

Okay... If it's okay with you, then okay. [Minato thought he was just too lucky or spoiled. He hoped he wasn't being tricked.]

Ne, can I ask you something? ... Can I have a hug?

[Souji blinked, then embraced him.]

Of course.

[Minato leaned into Souji and into that hug. He put his arms around Souji, feeling that he really was real.]

Why are you so nice to me?

[Souji gently stroked the Mirror's hair to soothe him.]

You deserve it.

[How? Minato didn't understand at all why he deserved anything like this. He hadn't done anything, not really. He didn't know if he hurt more hearing it, though he did like hearing it.

He nuzzled into Souji's chest and sighed. He also really liked that feeling of his hair being combed through. It felt nice.]

But you deserve more than I do. Better things. You really don't have to waste your time on something like me.

I don't think of it like that.

Then what do you think of it?

The time I spend with others is my own. I don't spend it with people who don't matter to me.
