Summary:
The Story:
Sometime before nine o'clock rolls around, those who know their way begin heading towards the resistance hideout in the woods -- or Fort Dixon-Potter, as its come to be known. To any who have been invited to attend but don't quite know how to get there, Daryl Dixon has made himself available to escort people to the meeting, letting people in a few at a time.

Though the resistance's de facto leader is no longer with them, several veteran members have chosen to make use of their resources and bring as many more people into the fold as they can. There's food provided for all who attend: burgers, hot dogs, and other standard cookout fare to be passed around throughout the evening. Notebooks will be handed to all new members, and all will be asked to sign their names on the official roster, for reasons. It's time to discuss how to move forward with Operation: Anti-Jabberwocky. If anyone has questions about the last eight months or so in Wonderland? Now is the time to ask.

The video was an accident. I didn't mean to turn the phone on while I was up there.

{He grins under the mask tilting his head at her comments.}

Well, if you knew how exactly I got the ability to hang from chandeliers it makes more sense.

[Her grin deepens, a hint impish as she teases him, although that hint of information has her turning curious, head tilted inquisitively as her gaze comes back to him.]

Oh? Going to share with the class?

{She can't see his face, but Peter hopes she can feel the skeptical eyebrow he's raising at her.}

I don't know. Are you going to share why Tony Stark was asking if we're related? Spiders and tights were the key words in that conversation.

[Natasha gives a sudden laugh at that, amused despite herself.]

Mostly he's being an ass, because he's good at that. But my code name back home is Black Widow. I'm assuming he was referring to that, and the uniform I work in.

{Giving up on the ceiling Peter drops to stand next to her.}

Codename? You're totally a badass, aren't you? I knew I was right in saying I'd love your help if I needed it.

[She's not alarmed by his abrupt change of positions, just gives him a bemused smile as she crosses her arms over her chest and arches an eyebrow at him.]

Is that what I am? And you have it, although I suppose I should ask what sort of trouble you intend to get yourself into here that you need my brand of help?

I betting you are.

{His body language is over the top to making it look like he's conspiring with her.}

Oh, I don't need your help yet. Just eventually, maybe. I don't know how this thing with Stark is gonna go. Or not go.

Here's your first bit of help. [She gives him a bemused look and shakes her finger at him.] Don't let Stark talk you into anything. You'll find yourself with more trouble than you know what to do with.

I can't even take that bit of help. I'm volunteering for this particular project. Which probably tells you more about me than you need to know.

[She heaves a long-suffering sigh and rolls her eyes heavenwards in exaggerated exasperation.]

Sorry, kid. You're going to need more help than I'm qualified for.

Oh, I see how it is. Just retract your help that quick when it gets challenging.

Calling Stark 'challenging' is like calling the Pacific a puddle.

[Which is partially true, but she's still grinning as she says it. Stark's a handful alright, but she still can't help but like and respect him. Even when he does make her want to throw things at his head.]
