Snow "Day" post-event mingling post
Who: Post-event recap post- so YOU. And maybe others!
Where: Tearooms, second floor
When: June 6 (two days after event), 3 o'clock
Rating: Y'ALL KEEP THIS PG-13, OKAY? KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS, DAMON.
Summary: Another event has come and gone, and it's time to find out what worked, what didn't, and what people need to keep in mind for future events.
The Story:
The tea rooms are small, but Sharon hopes that they'll be large enough to accommodate everyone who might come. As long as she's been here, she knows that not everyone is going to want to talk about the event or what might have transpired during it.
She knows the gist, of course. The event had started out pleasant, with everyone getting the chance to have fun in a winter wonderland (ha. ha. ha). And then the snow storm had set it. She doesn't know everything that happened after that, but given how Wonderland's events tend to go, she can guess.
She waits as people come in, not a lot, but perhaps enough, and chit-chats with people as she waits for more to come.
Finally, at five minutes past the hour, she stands up. "Okay. Let's get started. This meeting is to review the event, share details, and figure out what worked and what didn't. I know some of us have taken to chronicling events, and this will give you a better opportunity to learn about what transpired. I can't make any promises that anything we talk about here will help us in the future, but for me, the chance is worth it.
"Let's look at how this event went. It lasted three days, where we found ourselves at a ski resort. Winter activities for the first two and a half days, and then on the third day, a snowstorm set in around the middle of the day. Wonderland returned to normal that night."
She looks up and leans over the table. "I expect this meeting will be mostly trading notes as there were so few opportunities to go to shit unless people went outside in the snowstorm. Anybody have anything to share?"

"Well," He muses as he drops two sugarcubes into his Earl Grey, "Mr. Newt Scamander managed to break his leg while skiing. I happened to share a room with him."
Do you realize how sad it is when your roommate can't leave the room to do anything? At least his company kept him away from the storm.
"Other than that, and the awful weather on the third day, I don't think much happened."

She makes a note in a notebook and then looks at Dorian again. "Who helped him during the event?"
no subject
"I wasn't there with him when he broke it," he admits, "So I'm not sure who tended to him."

"I don't suppose you've experienced snow storms like the one we saw at the resort before?"
One of the things people have pointed out - several people, and some several times - was how no one could be stopped from getting themselves killed. And God knew, when Sharon was The Agent in that Beast in the Woods event a while ago, she couldn't stop them all herself. The next best thing, she figures, is to help teach people what to do in some situations where they run the risk of getting killed.

The climate Dorian is from doesn't allow for the winter wonderland you might read about in a Charles Dickens novel. London usually gets about an inch of snow at the most.
"Hm... I don't think we have snow that deep where I live, but perhaps if you move further away from civilization...? I haven't thought about it before."

Since Dorian is evidently through offering what he can, she looks at the others in the room. "Anyone want to build on that? Have anything else to offer?"

She doesn't think she has much to contribute, but she wants to see who all might show up. Mostly trying to see if one person shows up, to see if the things she's heard are true.
Standing by the door, arms folded over her chest as she listens to the lady at the front of the room. She definitely knows about the snowstorm, and it's enough to make her remember the nice guy that had been so sweet to her.
And who she never saw come in from the snow.
Shaking her head, she turns and heads back out for the hallway. He doesn't seem to be there, and she's not sure if any of the stories are true, but he's not there. Not that she had expected him to be.
