Summary: Wonderland's music festival is here! Perform on stage or just chill, mingle and eat snacks!
The Story:

The actual event doesn't start until the evening, but if you happen to pass by the lake in the morning, you may hear the sounds of people decorating along with a stage being put together. If anyone has time to spare, a lending hand in setting things up is always welcome!

When the sun starts to set, the main attraction of the event is finally in place. Upon entry, everyone will be handed out glowsticks and glow in the dark bracelets. A varietly of lights surrounding the area were there to brighten up the stage. Colored lights were strung together on poles and paper latern bags were also used to illuminate the setting. In the center, is a make shift stage. While it wasn't anything like a live arena, there was still quite a bit of room in case anyone wanted to sing with several people and dance. The stage is open for anyone to participate! Singing, playing an instrument, dancing, or even terrible karaoke with friends. Everyone is invited to have fun and enjoy themselves!

Even if you don't have any musical talents, you can still join in by watching the performances or chat with others. A snack table with a variety of treats and drinks is set up for everyone. There's a variety of cookies, cakes, fruits, cheeses and even Japanese food like riceballs, cabbage rolls and croquettes. Made by the suggestion of John Blake are all sorts of speciality popcorns like, chile-lime, s'mores and cheddar caramel corn. There's a lot of food and everyone is welcome to take anything with them in goodie bags.

[Souji's not sure what to expect when Ishimaru takes the stage, but once he starts singing, he's actually not all that surprised. It was the perfect choice, really.

He approaches him after he's finished and offers a small smile.]

Well done.

[Ishimaru is glad both to see Souji and that he sounds like he enjoyed it! He smiles in turn and bows politely.]

Thank you, Souji-kun! I am honored to hear that I performed exceptionally. I hope that I stirred up some pride in Japan!

[Souji nods once, half in agreement and half in response to the bowing.]

What made you choose the national anthem?

It happens to be the song that I've practiced the most in my life! You see, I don't happen to listen to most music much at all. I don't have much of an idea of what's popular with kids these days, either here or at home!

On top of that, it felt like a worthwhile endeavor to use my performance to share a piece of my culture with all of these people from different countries and worlds. It is my duty as a proud citizen of that fine country!

[Souji smiles at Ishimaru's enthusiasm.]

You made everyone proud.

[He has no idea if it's true, but it should be.]

If you're interested in branching out music-wise, you could ask Minato about it. He's got a lot of good music on his MP3 player.

I... I did? [He sniffs up and blinks back tears.]

Thank you, Souji-kun... That is one of the most sincere achievements that I could have hoped for!

[And he goes on with a bright smile.]

Hahaha! Arisato-kun is found of those headphones of those, isn't he? Maybe I should look into that offer sometime. It would make for an interesting education!

[Souji holds up one hand for a high five, even though he has a feeling Ishimaru has never high fived anyone in his life.]

I know he'd be happy to help you out.

[He is correct to think that. Ishimaru assumes that it is some sort of a salute, so he holds up his hand in the air mirroring Souji's. He can only hope that this is not some sort of a gang sign! No, Souji is too respectable a man for such tactics!]

That is good to hear. He has been nothing but helpful since I have first met him. I am glad that you can experience the benefit of his friendship as well, Souji-kun!

[Souji stands still for a second, then goes ahead and high fives Ishimaru, since at least he has his hand up in the right place for it.]

Minato could be friends with just about anyone.

[The same is true of Souji, though...]

But he's a good friend to have.

Ah! [He makes a surprised noise as the high five is completed, glancing quickly between his hand and Souji for a few moments while looking bewildered.]

Is that... a gesture? [Could it be like a handshake?]

But you are right! Of course, you seem very sociable as well, Souji-kun!

That's a high five. You do that when something goes well.

[Souji doesn't think he should get into the nuances of the important interaction known as "the high five" just now. It might be too much for a beginner.]

Thanks. It seems like you're pretty sociable yourself. You've made a lot of friends?

[His eyes widen in surprise.]

Ahhh... So that is the high five! I have heard of it before, but I never imagined that I would witness it in person. Thank you for teaching me, Souji-kun!

[Ishimaru scratches at his cheek sheepishly in response to his question.]

To be honest, I have not been very sociable growing up. It is only recently... shortly before coming here... that I started to learn important lessons about being social and forging friendships! But, here in Wonderland, I have forged a number of important friendships.

[A smile has spread across his face while he speaks.]

So, I would say that I have been making quite a number of my friends, while on the path of becoming a more sociable young man!

[Souji smiles. Somehow, Ishimaru's awkwardness is quite endearing.]

The next step will be eating cheeseburgers.

Ch-cheeseburgers?!

[He gasps. Though he likely eats at the diner fairly semi-regularly, he's managed to avoid eating burgers so far.]

Is that an important step?

[Souji nods, serious.]

It's definitely an important step.

[He looks startled for a moment by this information! But then, he resigns himself with a nod and clenches his fist.]

Then... It's decided. I have worried about eating something so unhealthy. But if it's just every now and then, and if it's an important step...

...Then I absolutely will step up!! I can promise you that sincerely, Souji-kun!!

I'm glad to hear it. [Souji smiles at him, approving of his gung ho attitude.] Any time you want to take the next step, I'll make you a cheeseburger.

I thank you for your offer, Souji-kun! If it's prepared by your hands, then that's all the more reason to trust it!

[He takes a breath.]

Just... Please, give me some time to mentally prepare myself for it. Then I will be ready to take it on!

[Souji nods firmly.]
