Rating: S for Shpadoinkle. And Snowmen. And Sickly Steve with his entourage.
Summary: Catch-All Post for the Avengers Wagon Train and all related shenanigans. Of which there will be many.

The Story:
Sunday morning dawns bright and early and full of confusion, because this is Wonderland, which is reason enough. But the setting everyone wakes up to is not the Wonderland they've become used to. It's not immediately obvious to some what event this world has dropped them into this time, but for others...

The presence of the wagons and oxen and the trading post's residents encouraging cheers to send everyone on their way to Oregon is a fairly telling clue. And since it seems there's no avoiding this one way or another, the resident superheroes form up a wagon caravan and hope to get through the long journey in one piece.

...Or at least as close to that as they can manage it.

"Are we there yet?" Billy asks with a cheeky grin floating down beside Natasha on the front of the wagon. She can't shoot him, he's already dead.

He gets such a look that she might not need a gun to kill him, whether he's dead or not. Besides, she suspects he'll be back eventually.

"Really? You too?"

"You're going to hang me from the aerial ropes when he get back and make it look like an accident, aren't you?" So maybe sassing her wasn't the best idea, even if she was one of his favorite people in Wonderland, she could probably still kill him using only her pinkie finger.

"I'm considering it. Maybe I'll feed you to Blake's crocodile in the basement. Less of a mess that way." Her tone is dry, but she doesn't really mean it.

Probably.

"There's a crocodile in the basement?" Billy's tone is light and curious. "Although how is that less messy? I would prefer hanging, I don't really want to get eaten again anytime soon. That was less then enjoyable."

[widows_kiss]

"There is. Don't ask me why. I'm just hoping Tony doesn't bump into it one night when he's sleep deprived and wandering." Her tone is wry as she shakes her head. "Why you two thought it necessary to go bait a bear I do not understand."

"We didn't decide to bait it," Billy protested. "Teddy wanted to go hunting and I'm a supportive boyfriend...sometimes. How were we supposed to know the bear cubs were near the rabbit he was trying to kill?" Really he can't be blamed for this.

"Besides he killed the bear that killed me and now you guys have food, so it all worked out." Except for the part where he's dead.

"Except for the part where you're dead."

Look, it had to be said. And she gives him a dry look as she does so. Which is probably partially wasted on a person she can see through. That will never not be weird.

"So what's that like? The ghost thing?"

"Small inconvenience?" Billy said even if he knew no one would agree with that statement.

"It's strange? I don't know how to describe it. My brain keeps telling me I should be hungry or tired or cold, but I don't feel anything. I just...am? Plus I keep forgetting and trying to touch Teddy and I pass right through him."

She just gives a quiet scoff at that and gives him a look. Although his description sounds downright strange.

"Weird. Although I suppose you'll be thankful for that tonight." She gives a nod up the mountain in the direction they're heading. The snow can already be seen from here. "You're not going to have to worry about freezing anything important off tonight.

Billy looks up at the mountain. "I guess I should be thankful for the little things. Like not freezing to death because I'm already dead."

"Could be worse," she counters with sarcastic cheerfulness. "They could be mean and let you die twice."

[actualwizard]

"Don't give them ideas!" Billy says trying to cover her mouth with his hand but it passes right through her. "Oh right. Can't do that."

She feels a chill slip down her spine when his hand passes right through her and she indulges in a dramatic shudder.

"Okay, that? Was weird."

"Yeah. Really weird. Sorry?" Billy gives her a sheepish smile.
