[CLOSED] je suis affamé pour vous
Who: Mitsuru Kirijo & Souji Seta
Where: Starting in the kitchen
When: June 15th
Rating: PG-13 to R depending on how ghouly this gets
Summary: Ghoul Event
The Story: Things have been...difficult the past few days. She feels as if she should be used to this by now, the hunger that sits low in her empty gut and the agonizing need to satiate it. It's not something she's ever been proud of. Her father knew, of course, and wanted to protect her from what the world might otherwise feel, but it was a burden she needed to take on herself. As much as she would like it, she knew he wouldn't be around forever and Mitsuru must learn to be self-sufficient. Even in Wonderland. Perhaps especially in Wonderland.
Here, she isn't supported by the supply, facilities, and assistance of the Kirijo Group. Here, she is truly on her own. There are others, of which she is certain, but Mitsuru is determined to curb the sharp edge of her hunger, despite how she knows a few simple tricks won't solve it in the end. If she just makes it one more day, one more day.
She's more disheveled than usual, her hair a little less brushed with how much she's been fussing with it just to keep her hands busy. She's pawing through one of the refrigerators in the kitchen in the vain hope that something will help. Nothing ever does. Fortune would have that she comes upon a large steak, uncooked and wrapped for storage. Shaking fingers grab it like it's treasure as she steps over to a woodblock counter, leaving the refrigerator door open. She needs it, she needs it. The smell of cold cow blood makes her nose curl but damn if she's not going to try. The saran wrap sticks to the sides and she glares at it in frustration as she attempts to peel it free, heedless of the mess she's making on the counter.

It doesn't, notably, tell him to flee. He might not know Mitsuru as well as he'd like, but he trusts her. She's been through some of the same things he has, and that links them together, regardless of anything else.
"Do you need help?" He comes to stand on the side of the counter opposite her, looking from the meat to her face.

She's on edge and frazzled. Mitsuru doesn't hear him approach, though she should have, so when he's nearly in front of her and speaks she jumps uncharacteristically, nails digging into the steak like she's worried he'll take it from her.
"S-Seta..." Oh. Oh. It's him. Calm yourself, Mitsuru. You know how to keep a cool head. "I...how long have you been there?"
no subject
"I just came in."
He nods to the meat on the counter. "Do you want help? I could cook for you." He's not going to assume she can't cook for herself, but it's something he's always happy to do for others.

"Oh..." Cooked meat. Cooked meat likely won't help at all, but she can't really say that, can she? So Mitsuru smiles despite herself, placing the half-unwrapped steak back down on the counter, trying to hide the shakiness in her hands. "That's...very kind of you. Thank you."
no subject
"Is there anything else you'd like?"
no subject
Mitsuru swallows--his hands, in the end, are more interesting than raw meat.
Wait, he was saying something?
"I'm sorry," she apologies, her voice a little strained. "What was that?"
no subject
"Are you alright? You seem a little unwell."
no subject
Mitsuru swallows, putting her fingers to her forehead and looks away.
"...You shouldn't be here, Seta."
no subject
"How can I help you?"
no subject
"Y-You can't help with this. Leave."
Not in any way he can walk away from. And she can hear his heart beat, and each pump of blood makes her chest and stomach burn. She can feel the change begin in the corners of her eyes. Mitsuru backs further away, bumping back into the counter.
"I said leave!"
no subject
"...You really need to eat."
It isn't that he's not afraid. Even with his Personas to back him up, it's very possible that she could kill him in the next few moments. But if it isn't him, it might just be someone else later, when Mitsuru has even less control than she does now. Souji, at least, is able to defend himself if he needs to.
