That's why I came up with this brilliant scheme- just steal everything.
Who: Rocket + Mirror!Rocket
Where: All around the mansion, both Real and Mirror Side.
When: From the Queen's announcement onwards.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Rocket's Mirror has cut loose for the Real side to steal ALL THE THINGS as he do. Meanwhile Rocket's stuck on the Mirror Side and hates every minute of it.
The Story:
MIRROR SIDE | ROCKET
Rocket has never enjoyed the few trips to the Mirror Side he's gotten stuck having. He doesn't know what the deal with his flarkin' Mirror is, but that bastard can fly when given the chance, and he sure as hell made that switch at a very, very inconvenient time. Seriously. He was working on a thing. He doesn't know what that thing is yet, but being stuck here greatly impedes him from figuring it out.
Rocket's moving through the halls with his gun up, giving everyone who passes the stink-eye, until they prove they're Reals, non-hostile Mirrors, or actually give him a reason to pull the trigger.
"I freakin' hate Wonderland," he mutters as he walks.
REAL SIDE | MIRROR ROCKET
Meanwhile, Rocket's Mirror has shoved The Thing that Rocket was working on in his sack and has set off to find anything else that catches his interest. Surely Her Majesty can't want all of the things. He can have some for himself, too. Nice things. Things to add to his collection.
While Rocket's hard to miss, his Mirror is easy to avoid. He's just some unfamilar, eerily quiet wide-eyed young human man with scruffy hair and dirty clothes. Basically, a scrawny unwashed hobo... who is deftly picking every lock he can find and rifling through your belongings. That's totally normal. He has orders, you see. And he likes shiny things. Those are his. Because he's doing so well for her Majesty.

It took her a moment to really believe that she was there, and a call to those she'd been with the note that she really was alone. At least they weren't able to hear her. Peggy didn't know how this was possible, whether it was a dream or real but she had to find out. Find someone.
It didn't take long, walking down the corridor after exiting the room, before Peggy found someone. He would have been easy to just pass by if Peggy hadn't been looking for someone - for answers, and catching sight of him she stopped - seeing his actions clearer.
"Is that room yours?" It could just as easily be an honest question as well as a comment on his lock picking. Where exactly was she?

He shrugs, sheepishly, and gestures pathetically at the door. Locked out.

"Is there anywhere that you could get a new key?" Uncertainties about how Peggy had gotten there aside she couldn't just leave him to struggle at getting into his room, and maybe if she did help him he'd be able to help her - at least to show her someone that could help if he couldn't explain it himself.

If all else fails, look pathetic. People tend to give sad people the benefit of the doubt. And having the brain of an highly intelligent animal means he is primed to look miserable in a way that tugs at the heartstrings.

"There's no way to get another?" Peggy watched for his answer, waiting before stepping forward. If there really was no other way-
"I may be able to help you." At least this was his room, it wasn't as if they were breaking in to anywhere. His key would be inside and it would be fine.

He waves her over to the door and kneels down, giving her a grateful toothy grin.

"There." There's a brief smile when the lock is unlocked, and Peggy steps back, handing the equipment back to him. "Hopefully you can find your key inside. And remember to keep it with you this time."

"Remember you key." To always check before he left his room, just in case. Not everyone would be able to help him break in again.
"But just in case - my name's Peggy." Just in case he was ever truly stuck again.

He points to himself and then tries to mime... a rocket. It's sort of difficult as he just draws a rocket-like shape in the air and then mimes a take-off complete with puffing out his cheeks and making whoosh noises with the expelled air.
Introducing yourself when you're mute is difficult, but it could be worse. He could be trying to mime 'Bob.'

"I hope the next time I see you it's under different circumstances." Better ones. Ones that certainly don't involve helping someone pick a lock. What a great first meeting that was.
