The Story:
On October 1st, the Ravenclaw students organize a party to celebrate a meteor shower -- they decorate, bring food, and organize games and riddles to discuss long into the night. Some play pranks, and others are quicker to foil them. The ceiling of the common room is enchanted with painted celestial bodies that move in time with the real ones.

As the night yawns into early morning, most everyone will cluster out on the balconies to watch the meteors streak across the sky, if they haven't fallen asleep. The next morning gives way to sleepy study groups or loud debates. Ravenclaw students seem prone to innovation and making sure other people know just how clever they are.

There are a few places that may give you pause! Maybe the riddle at the entrance has left you sat outside it for 3 hours because you're too stubborn to ask for help. Once inside, maybe you'll glimpse a message for you on the noticeboard (gosh some of these are quite passive aggressive, no wonder it's been enchanted). Or maybe you're a halfblood or a muggle-born who misses muggle technology and the comforts of home, and you've started creating magical versions of your favorite video games and television shows...

( feel free to post top levels and add details and party games -- or see if your fellow ravenclaws can withstand your plans to make your own fun. additionally there are top-levels with prompts for the other memes i tried to make fit the event... most of all, just have fun! plurk @printed if you need help getting involved, but really feel free to add anything else you'd like to see happen in the house ;) )

[ it's late one evening in the common room, with only a student or two still keeping to themselves in front of the fireplace and tali is on her way in from the owlery with an armful of books, almost as if she was doing homework with her owl. (in fact, if napstablook has ever followed her to the owlery, they might find that was exactly what she was doing.) spotting their resident house ghost, she makes a line to them, making sure her feet scuff on the way.

napstablook is the only person in the whole of ravenclaw she doesn't try to sneak up on sometimes. they should consider it an honour. ]

Chatika's a good listener when I need to work problems out loud. [ she gives a shrug, in a good mood even if she does look like she's nearly ready for bed. ] And all the background owl noise sounds more wise than all the background common room noise.

Transfiguration. I probably should have taken my History of Magic work, too, but then I just would've fallen asleep up there and smelled like owl in the morning.
