[OPEN] "Over and over many setting suns, I have run..."
Who: Stanford, HIS DOG, & YOU!
Where: All around the mansion/mansion grounds/also the beach! (The hallways, bar, pool, etc)
When: 5/5-5/8
Rating: PG! (Will update if necessary.)
Summary: A man tours his dog around Wonderland. Also, science!
The Story: Prompts under the cut!
A. WALKING
[Typically in the afternoons Ford is usually in his room or his lab. For a few days, however, he's out and about with Newton getting some much needed sunshine; through the third floor corridor and down to ground level, then out across the grounds to the beach and back they go.
Ford is wearing his usual attire and both he and the dog seem to be in good spirits! The weather is lovely and Ford is happy to allow Newt to stop and sniff at every little thing (hopefully Newt doesn't go sniffing after people, which Ford will clearly resist).]
B. RUNNING
[There are two times of day Stanford enjoys running the most: In the dark, just before dawn when the mansion and its grounds are still, and in the late afternoon when the sun bathes the grounds in gold light, and long shadows are cast by everything it touches. He's let his exercise regimen fall short for months and as a result he's feeling a bit out of shape--so! Back to running he goes again, and this time with a new companion.
Ford's running route is very predictable. It winds through various mansion floors that are mostly uninhabited, then down to the grounds by the edge of the forest and finally parallel to the sea.
It's one of the few times he can be seen not wearing his overcoat and turtleneck. Instead, he wears a red hoodie. Newton seems to be very happy to run alongside him and sit with him when Ford stops occasionally to catch his breath.]
C. SWIMMING (and SCIENCE)
[While Newton rests very casually on a poolside chair, Stanford conducts an experiment in the pool.
Dressed in just red swim shorts and goggles over his glasses, Ford is testing the water-proofedness of various devices. He occasionally sits on the edge of the pool and takes notes on a digital pad, which is also apparently waterproof because it is neither soggy nor malfunctioning. It's dinner time and he's chosen this hour in the hopes that he'll have the pool to himself, but for the most part, he's lost in his work.
Newton seems content to gnaw on a yellow, triangular chew toy.]
