Who: Akira Kurusu, the rest of the Phantom Thieves, and YOU!
Where: Outside the lodge, various points within, and lost in the storm
When: throughout the snowed-in event
Rating: PG
Summary: Snow day best day
The Story:
day 1 - rime or die
It should be noted that Akira has never driven in snow before. Maybe he gets points for having navigated the tunnels in Mementos because no one should ever have to drive on warped train tracks ever never ever Morgana he's sorry about your aching toe beans. In any case, the catbus arrives at the newly formed lodge in the midst of their wintery landscape in one piece, and anyone in their right mind would want to get inside and find a nice armchair and a blanket to snuggle down with.
Nuh uh. No way.
Futaba's gone and Makoto is nowhere to be found. He's never wanted to see Sojiro more in his life - being with his friends has pushed itself to the forefront of his mind as never before. Not because Igor told him to form bonds, but because they had taken route deeply inside him and ripping some of those out of his being hurts, makes him Less.
So of course Akira plays the straggler, strategically hanging back. His gloves are made for thievery, not packing snow, so he can't really feel his fingertips when the first snowball beans his nearest target. But they sure can feel something cold and wet landing with a splat :)
day 2 - a regular joe snow
Since he arrived in Tokyo Akira sort of let his leisure muscles atrophy. Between learning the public transport system, school, growing thick skin resistant to stares and thoughtlessly audible whispers coming his way, and, oh yeah, diving into a supernatural universe and doing battle with Shadows quite frequently, a sane person might forget the sweet, sweet bliss of a couple of days off. Even in the summer Akira had so many social calls to make, and then Medjed cropped up and -
Never a dull moment, in ways that were true to the legend of the concrete jungle and ways that weren't. And while the first event in Wonderland saw him using that newfound strength, this one is the complete opposite, seeing him bumming around the lodge in an ageworn dark hoodie and jeans, hair messy, glasses shielding his eyes, and wielding a mug of hot cocoa that, should one spot him throughout the second day, never seems to run out.
On one such refill trip to the (unstaffed??) kitchen area, he is distantly aware he may have cleaned out the cupboards of hot cocoa mix and it's only noontime. Peering into one of the upper cabinets, he notices motion outside the frame of his glasses and turns with a forlorn look on his face.
"Uh, you see anymore cocoa mix around that side of the kitchen?"
day 3 - in deep sleet [ closed to Ryuji Sakamoto ]
One would think that Akira would know better than to wade out into the treeline with Ryuji purely on the merit that it was Ryuji's suggestion to avoid cabin fever, but welp. "Teenage boys" is a valid reason for getting one up on their death count, so Wonderland has decided to oblige them.
"Are you sure this is the right direction?" he nonetheless shouts over the intensifying storm, travel made harder and harder with the snow quickly mounting up. They didn't go that far from the lodge...
