"If they're going to make me go through this ridiculous charade, the least I can do is get something out of it." And it is absolutely a charade. She understands that there's danger, she just doesn't think she's particularly safer with a bodyguard. Needles change the game. One bodyguard can't defend against that, and more than one is just fodder for a full outbreak.

Then again, one bodyguard can keep her from going places she's not supposed to be. She kind of suspects that's more the point.
