Tricky, tricky. He pursues that line of thought -- of what could have happened, of why she might ominously leave the comment hanging at not any longer. At the time, she'd managed to convince herself that Steve had died. Howard had exhausted his search; the SSR had come up empty handed. It wasn't until she arrived here that she'd learned otherwise, and had leaped to take that guilt onto her own shoulders. What had she sacrificed by giving up too soon?

Peggy scowls -- redirecting her dissatisfaction toward the now-saturated towel. In the end, she simply doesn't bother to touch on Peter's questions. She dispenses with the art of deflection altogether.

"I've never heard of it." Spandex. "Something 'modern,' is it?"
