cw: death of pet and parent

[Even if everything was confusing, Sayaka lets out a sigh of relief when they are out of that previous memory. At first she was nervous to be back in the same neighbourhood, but when she didn't see that same old man that was bothering them, she felt a little calmer.

She continues to not say a word as she follows Oowada, curious as to where he was heading. Looked like they were at a.... house? Since this was his memory, was this his house?

When they get closer, the face that she sees becomes much more obvious than the previous younger child she saw. There was no doubt that this was Oowada Mondo. She couldn't deny the warm feeling in her heart while watching him play with dog. Just from a simple glance, she could tell that the two shared a close bond. It also showed her that there was a very unexpected soft side in the bike gang leader.

All of her warm thoughts quickly came to a halt as she continued to watch.

Sayaka's heart completely sank at the sight of Chuck not moving anymore.

Oowada's desperation and calling out his companion's name was crushing. It hurt to watch this. As much as Sayaka didn't want to think about it, it was becoming evident that Chuck was on the verge of dying. While she's never had a pet, she did experience the loss of her own mother. Pets were part of the family too, so losing one was just like losing a family member.

Especially given how obviously close Oowada and Chuck were.

She nervously gulps and is trying to hold back her own tears. It surprises her that the big brother seemed to have noticed them. The smile catches her off guard and she does her best to politely smile back at him.

Sayaka looks away from the memory and back at Mondo. Seeing the tears in his eyes was enough to cause her own tears to fall from her eyes. She knew that he probably couldn't stand the sight of being around her, but right now, she didn't even care. Having to relive the memory of a pet's death had to be one of the most horrible things for anyone to witness and like anyone else, he needed some sort of comfort.]

I'm so sorry...

[Her own voice was quiet and she was sniffling as she said that. This was probably going to be super awkward later, but she shoved those thoughts aside and gives him a gentle hug from behind, pressing her face into his back.]

You two seemed really close and just from this, I can tell that you raised him really well. He obviously loved you very much.
