[We can't give up on hope now.

It's a simple sentence. But it's also a powerful one. And that sentence rattles around in her empty head, not taking root because it can't. There's no way it could. But it's still important. They can't give up hope. That's definitely important. So she opens her notebook, and in addition to writing some notes about the event, she writes it down in giant letters on a blank page, underlining it repeatedly.

She doesn't want to forget it. She will, of course, but she's doing her best to leave a reminder.]


You're right! We can't! I mean I can't. Um, this might not be the best way, but something better has to come up at some point. I just have to keep thinking that.
