I have a shield.

[They've learned it can deflect some projectiles, even if it drains the power faster. And unfortunately, they're a shade more talkative than they ought to be. The truth has them gripped tightly - very tightly. Tight enough for the words to come leaking out.]

I just don't like the idea of people being hurt, if I can stop it.
