He's not a jerk. He's just really bad at expressing his feelings.

When I got hurt, he stuck by my side for hours after, even though he knew I was going to be fine. He brought me food and stuff and checked on me when he thought I was asleep. He always watches out for me, and he's trying, really hard, to be better. His heart's always in the right place, even if the stuff he says doesn't quite match it.
