"She certainly tried more than the other residents around here. It's a massive improvement since she got her eyes back."

Maybe in the future she'll be better equipped to warn them as well.

"That is true. Even the revelation of what counts as the worst thing happening to you can be off-putting."

For one Mettaton would have hedged his bets on other things he's gone through in Wonderland... though it's not as if this one wasn't horrible in and of itself.

Mettaton watches Newt a bit sadly as he says that. "So even if the option was there to change it all and actually have it affect your past back home, you wouldn't take it? I can't tell if you're braver than me or not. I'd have changed things in a heartbeat."

He's not the most morally centered robot in the universe. He sighs at the rest of what Newt says.

"I'm sorry you were used like that. That's a terrible situation to be in. Do you know what happened to her after?"

Privately, he hopes whoever she is got what was coming to her. He's not petty, noooooo.
