Summary: Peridot decides that because she and Lapis have clearly already bested their tumultuous mental states that they can beat everyone else to the top floor. This doesn't go as well as she thinks it will.
The Story:
The message from Kanji is playing on Peridot's communicator, held close enough for Lapis to hear. At the present moment, they're camping out in the safe zone, but after the last couple of events functionally exiling her and Lapis from their pseudo-barn, she's... a bit restless.
She clicks off the comm and plants her hands on her hips. "That's ridiculous. I bet we could make it the top floor with no problem. We've already seen the worst parts of ourselevs!"
Several times, actually. Wonderland's been really big on the psychological torture and bringing out things that would be better left hidden.
