The Lion Sleeps Tonight | Open
Who: Simba and YOUR ROOM
Where: Various rooms throughout the mansion
When: 12/2, over the course of several days
Rating: G
Summary: Simba sleeps in other people's rooms, gets into their stuff
The Story:
[Sleeping on Your Bed]
[Simba was told, when he first arrived, that he could find a room here and turn it into whatever he wanted.
And either he's somewhat disregarded that advice, or just doesn't understand which rooms belong to which person. It didn't really make any sense to him why one person would sleep in one room anyway. That seemed so lonely.
Or at least it was lonely to the lion cub who's never slept alone before. The few times he's done it, he's hated it.
So instead of finding his own room, he's napping in whatever room is currently unoccupied. Climbing into people's beds and flopping on his back, or climbing under their sheets. For those who come back to their rooms... there's a lion, or at least a lion-shaped lump under your sheets.
And the rooms don't necessarily have to be unoccupied. If it's late at night and you find yourself sleeping, you might wake up to a warm lump of fur right next to your legs.]
[Getting into your stuff]
[Of course, what was the fun of just napping in someone else's room and leaving? There was so much to explore and bat around in each room...
Anyone walking in might find a lion cub playing - or attempting to take off with their socks. Or batting whatever they have laying around across the floor. Or maybe he's just staring intently at the mirror in your room.
Interrupt?]

Look at all the things you can get into.
[Oh, yeah. And he also has an obligatory magic closet and a mirror, but the mirror is covered up with a black sheet and it looks like he's working on some sort of Doppelganger trap.]
[What shall Simba do before Kokichi gets back?]
bed!
...
...
She kneels down, wishing she had a camera on her.]
Cuuuute...
Bed bed bed!
After returning from the library with a bundle of children's books in his arms, he notices a lump on his bed. ...ah! That must be Sans's cat, 4! He must be taking a catnap! He sits down on the bed and gently prods the lump.]
HELLO, 4!! TAKING A NAP, I SEE-
[He lifts up the sheet and wait that's not 4. That is a lion cub.]
...YOU'RE NOT 4????
no subject
Mmnn... huh?
[Simba doesn't seem to register talking skeleton yet - at least, not enough to be weirded out yet.]
Great... now I'm dreaming about talking skeletons.
[Yep. Still hasn't realized.]
but that is ryou's stuff tho
Nope, these are tarot cards, and Simba's made a right mess of them all over the place. Furthermore, there's the aforementioned socks being chewed, dragged, or pretty much anything else a small lion cub could do with them.
..But of course, Ryou takes everything as it comes, so he doesn't angrily cry out. Instead, he calls in exasperation:]
Oh..!! Goodness, what a mess...would you mind not doing that, you could damage something...
[Luckily, Simba's kept far and away from the nondescript journal near Ryou's bed. That would, quite possibly, be the only thing the teen might get loud about.]
not anymore
Simba doesn't know what the cards are for, but he's somehow managed to knock them off and scatter them. The voice calling out to him gets a small jump out of him, and when he turns around... there's a pair of socks on his mouth.
His tail swishes, and he lowers himself to the ground. It doesn't look like he plans to give the socks back that easily. At least, not until someone plays with him first.]

Pumbaa... you're takin' up all the room...
no subject
These beds are so soft and bouncy, he thinks he might never want to sleep on hard ground ever again.
And of course where there's drawers, Simba's going to try to pull them open and see what's inside.]
no subject
They're not in right now, so feel free to explore!)
no subject
NO, YOU'RE DEFINITELY NOT DREAMING!! YOU'RE IN MY ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!
no subject
[Meanwhile, Kokichi was walking down the hall when he noticed his door was left ajar. Weird, he thought he locked it? He's gonna investigate...]
no subject
[mikan you are not pumbaa.]
no subject
[Ryou seems even more distressed...but somehow, seeing Simba like this, behaving like the child he is, he can't be mad.
He even steps closer, as if to taunt the lion cub into action. He can pick up the cards later; it's only a mild inconvenience to him, he hadn't been doing any readings.]
who's that sleeping in my bed
--What the bloody Somewhere are you doing here?
[Look, he's a demon, he's not about to be afraid of some little lion cub, but that doesn't mean he doesn't jump back in the doorway with every metaphorical hackle bristling right up.]
I didn't agree to turn my rooms into a zoo.
no subject
Which Ryou seems willing to humor him though. Simba lowers himself to the ground, wiggling a bit as if preparing to leap-
-and then makes a dash, attempting to bolt between Ryou's legs and make off with his newfound toy. Ryou has one chance to grab Simba and stop him before he escapes.]
1/2
[And Simba seems like he's just gonna drift right back off, despite his apology.]
no subject
WHOA, what-! You're a talking skeleton!!
[Hooray, he finally figured it out!]
no subject
Nngh-- Komo...?
[ His heavy eyes flutter open, head turning groggily left, then right. Hm. Komodo the beagle is right by his side. Komodo's... not that long.
...
What's that on his leg, then?
Swiftly, but carefully, Mondo slips out of the bed to turn on the lights. Sorry Komo, he doesn't want to bother your beauty sleep, but this has to be done. Now... it's time to lift up the duve-- huh?! ]
Huuuh?!
no subject
YES, I AM!!! AND YOU'RE A TALKING LION!!! WOWIE!!!
[This conversation is really going places!]
no subject
That's so cool!! I've seen skeletons before, but none of them ever talked! Or moved!
no subject
NYEH HEH HEH!!! YES, US MONSTERS ARE VERY COOL, AND I AM ONE OF THE COOLEST MONSTERS AROUND!!!
LITTLE LION, WHAT WERE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM ANYWAY???
no subject
Oh! Sorry, are you alright?
no subject
Ah-!
[He drops the sock, while leaping away. He turns back, but instead of grabbing the sock again...]
Okay, okay, You win that one.
no subject
[Papyrus is the first actual monster Simba's met. He doesn't know there's more.]
I didn't know this was your room, I was just looking for a place to sleep.
no subject
[He puts down the books he's carrying on to the bed and takes a seat himself next to Simba.]
OHHHH, I SEE!! WELL THEN, I CERTAINLY DON'T MIND YOU SLEEPING ON MY BED!! BUT...MAYBE ASK FIRST BEFORE DECIDING TO SLEEP ON MY BED NEXT TIME??? I MISTOOK YOU FOR ANOTHER CAT!!!
no subject
Mmmnn... what's going on...?
[He's not seeing a problem here.]
no subject
...Y-You're--
[ A... lion cub, huh. Now that the bleariness is shaken off, he's churning the situation a little better. Talking animal isn't something new for him, he shouldn't be so surprised anymore. ]
...How did you get in here? Are you lost?
[ Heck, it's cute. Mondo won't mind keeping it if it could get along with Komo. ]
no subject
[Simba gives a sheepish grin.]
Oh... uh, heheh. Sorry. I’ll ask next time. I can find somewhere else to sleep, if you wanna sleep here.
no subject
[He then shakes his head.]
I’M NOT PLANNING ON GOING TO SLEEP ANY TIME SOON. TO BE HONEST, I DON’T REALLY NEED TO SLEEP AT ALL!! SO, FEEL FREE TO USE THIS BED ANY TIME YOU WANT!!! I DON’T MIND AT ALL!!!
no subject
I'm just glad I wasn't too rough. You're, ah. You're quite small.
But more to the point, why are you here? Not that I mind a visitor from time to time, but it's polite to ask first and arrange a meeting. Or at least, that's the usual etiquette.
[He is explaining etiquette to a lion. Yep.]
