( he doesn't know where he will go and or what he will do when he gets there, but wherever he is going, he is set to arrive quickly. his eyes are on the carpet thrown over the wooden floors as he strides across them; his head is spinning and his heart is in his gut.

he is not paying attention. he was not paying attention in freya's room and he is not paying attention now. it is why he doesn't at all sense her approach until she is in his path.
