Out on the balcony reaching out to who designed this epiphany

Who: Gideon and Rip Hunter
Where: Gideon’s room
When: Dec 10
Rating: PG
Summary: With the disappearance of yet another of Wonderland’s scientists, Rip decides to employ his oldest ally for some research.
The Story:
It's unfortunate to say the least, when a particular broadcast goes out. While Rip had no known Ford Pines well or the remaining brother at all, he'd had opportunity to speak with the former briefly regarding his work. A portal, constructed in the basement and capable of leading not where intended, but rather to the mansion's pool. A failed experiment that had been shut down like every other Rip has heard of to date, now seemingly with its data lost forever.

Such a waste—much as he considers the current efforts of Leo Fitz to be, despite Peggy's assurances that the man still needs time to be buttered up or whatever she deems fit to call it. He's agreed to let her handle that resource, regardless of how the urge to handle it himself might nag at the back of his mind. Still, there are other measures he can take, other allies to call upon—and it's been far too long since he had a proper talk with at least one of them anyway.

So Rip makes the rather short trip from his room to the one just beside it. Strange how once this part of the hall had once seemed filled with their number, only to be reduced to two. Now he knocks upon Gideon's door, hoping she'd been in, compiling a list of where he might look if she's not. While he waits he tugs out a notebook he keeps in the inner pocket of his jacket: his notes from his tenure here, handwritten and meticulous, everything from observations to spitball calculations of just what it might take to break through the barriers of time and space that keep this dimension so separated from every other universe.
