I was dead {re-arrival}
Who: Claire Fraser + You
Where: The beach, later throughout the mansion
When: Dec 17-18

Summary: Claire washes up on shore, then, after 20 years gone, gets re-familiar with Wonderland
The Story:
A
[ It's been an extremely long few months for the Frasers. Upon leaving Wonderland, Claire goes through everything she's been afraid of: Black Jack getting his hands on Jamie, France, losing their baby and ultimately Culloden. Claire goes back through the stones and lives her life for twenty years, raising Brianna with Frank. Nothing hurts more than that, to watch Bree call Frank her father when Jamie is so far in the past.
Everything changes and feels as if it happens so quickly once Roger reveals that Jamie lived through the Battle of Culloden Moor, and with determination, she goes back to Scotland and travels back through the stones, back to her husband. From there it's a whirlwind of finding him, secrets revealed and trying to understand if they even belong together anymore. All of that falls by the wayside when her nephew is kidnapped but even amid the chaos of finding a ship to sail to Jamaica to find him, Claire finds a way to grow even closer to her husband, cementing that this is where she's supposed to be - by his side through everything.
They should both know by now that even after fighting and killing to make their family whole again it wouldn't be quite so easy. The trip home laughs in the face of their imagined success and the storm that swells and threatens to destroy the ship they're on won't back down. It's brutal, and the last thing Claire sees is Jamie reaching for her as a wall of water crashes on top of them. It splinters the ship, she feels rope wind itself around her, and then she's being dragged under. She tries, for a while, to fight, but once she's out of air under the ocean her eyes close and she gives in to that weightless, blank feeling of drifting. Everything goes black and an odd peacefulness settles over her.
When she's back in Wonderland she's floating in the ocean on a piece of wood, the water freezing because it's winter, here. The tide brings her close to shore but she's unconscious, completely unaware of where she is right now. ]

[ The next day, finally warm and knowing she's safe - though not sure if she'll die at sea or not - Claire wanders through the mansion, this new edible version, and looks at everything in awe. She's two decades older, her hair is streaked with gray, and she isn't wearing a corset anymore, or quite so much tartan. She's looking at everything as if it's brand new, but this is her re-arrival and she's taking it all in, the things she forgot and now suddenly remembers. ]
