[OTA] It's knocking off my diamond wig
Who: Lapis and yooouuu
Where: Around Wonderlandland
When: Throughout the first part of the event
Rating: PG?
Summary: What can you give the gem who has... uh... well, various emotional baggage, mostly.
The Story:
Prologue
"Greetings, My Lazuli. I've been assigned to attend to your every desire within this realm. Merely say the word and I will provide."
These words are finished with a curtsey by a tall, delicate, long-nosed blue woman. As a matter of fact, she has a strong resemblance to the Pearl who recently arrived in Wonderland, but that's probably not important, yeah, probably not. Either way, she appeared out of nowhere with this incredible introduction, and Lapis stares at her with an exquisite blend of noncomprehension and disgust for a long moment before managing a response.
"What?"
"To start with, may I point out that I am an excellent masseuse?" The servant holds up a jar of rock polish.
⁂
A
Lapis is having none of this, but it seems Wonderlandland, and by extension the servant, is determined to find something she'll like. No matter how many times she says to go away, or simply flies off to the top of a sparkly rainbow tower, it's only a matter of time before her attendant pops up again to offer something else. And each time, all it does is add to Lapis's annoyance.
Look, see, it's happening again -- as soon as no one was looking, the servant appeared like she'd been there all along. There's just a moment before she starts talking as she takes the time for another formal curtsey. Utterly exasperated, Lapis glances over to the nearest bystander, i.e. you. "Do you want to take this?" It's mostly sarcastic. Mostly.
B
To make matters worse, Lapis being so insistently cynical naturally has an effect on her surroundings. Before the second day even ends, things are starting to fall apart wherever she goes -- if she wanders too close to someone else's fantasy, you might find her presence injecting a sour note into your wish fulfillment.
Wildcard
There are a lot of ways one might insert themselves into Lapis's day, or vice versa, so feel free to tweak the scenarios! Also, will match formats, and you can respond to the prologue if you really want, I just wanted to write it.
