The Story:

★ Diner

[ Now that the singing is over, Henry is willing to leave his room again. Breaking out into a song about going the distance and being a hero in front of, well, witnesses, wasn't his favorite thing he's ever done. He also can't help feeling, though, that it's true. He obviously feels a certain way about his life, about how far he's gone, what he's done. By the time his grandfather was his age, he'd slayed a dragon. David was a real hero, a real prince, and whether or not Henry's done any of that he can't even remember. But something tells him if he had, that song wouldn't have been the first one his subconscious picked to belt out during the event.

So, now he's sitting in the diner, book of his family's stories in hand and reading all about his grandparents. He's silently hoping that if he traveled through different realms, if he met Jacinda - Ella - somewhere he'd never been before, maybe he did something to impress her, something heroic. He doesn't know how to live up to his grandfather's story, if not. Idly flipping pages, Henry's lost in thought, but every now and then does look up to smile if it looks like someone's approaching, even if they walk by him to another seat. ]

★ Movie Theater

[ With Billy suddenly and sadly gone, Henry's taken over the movie theater mantle. He spent many a good marathon here, he remembers being wowed by Tony Stark and his holographic dinosaurs, watching Indiana Jones, Star Wars. He wants to live up to that, to do something great for the residents, and it's his own life that finally grants him the inspiration. With a grin, he sends out a mass video message: ]

Wonderland! We haven't had a movie marathon in a while. So, I say we go for it, yeah? Back to the Future, movies one through three. I don't have a date yet, but I guess this is to gauge interest? I kind of inhereted the movie theater from Billy when he left, and I wanted to keep the tradition going. So, any takers?

[ That sent, as he waits on replies he sits in the theater, not watching anything, house lights up, legs propped up on the seat in front of him. And then, as he sits and thinks, all the chairs change from standard movie house fair with an arm rest you can pull up and down, to dark leather seats fully capable of reclining with the press of a button. ]

Oh, yeah. Much better.

★ Grounds

[ Every now and then, it's good to just get out of the building, and Henry decides to do just that, wandering through the gardens, the hedge maze, and down by the lake. He's not really doing much of anything, he has an iPod with generic songs on them and earbuds as he walks and walks, not going anywhere in particular. If he notices someone approaching and it looks like they're trying to talk to him, the earbuds come out.

Eventually, he makes his way to the beach and sits in the sand after taking off his shoes. It's weird, really, to know he has an entire life he can't remember, to know he's married, and yet...have cursed memories that reinforce his life of being completely alone, of losing his happiness after he had it for a while. It feels like emotional whiplash, and he didn't even realize he needed the downtime to just shut off for a minute and watch the waves of the ocean. ]
