[ what's visible is her face: a split lip, by now already darkened into a bruise. the discoloration continues along her jaw. peggy also looks tired. worn thin. but, unsurprisingly, she doesn't look weak. if anything, there's more fire behind her eyes than usual. of course, there's also what isn't visible -- the cracked rib she holds, tenderly, with one arm tucked against her body. as if anything short of proper bandaging could help it heal.
