While You Were Tearing A Hole Inside Of Me, I Was Taking Control; Open

Who: Wynonna Earp and YOU
Where: various places among the mansion
When: all during the event + the rest of July
Rating: PG-13? I'll change if it goes worse
Summary: Wynonna tries out some ability disks for fun and profit. Pick a scenario and have fun with her. Prose or Actionspam welcome. Also other threads for the month will be in here too.
The Story:

a. the training room

The first disc Wynonna puts in is one labeled "super strength" and she wanted to test it out properly -- which means she can be found lifting up some of the equipment and putting it back down after, just because she can. She can also be found punching sandbags and sending them flying into the wall with the strength of her punch. It's pretty badass, honestly. And if anyone else with powers is around she might be challenging them to a sparring match to see how she can hold her own against them.

Come on. Let her have a little fun.

b. the beach

The second disc she tries is one labeled fire abilities. She's glathered some wood and other materials and is trying to start an impromptu bonfire but here's the problem -- once she starts the fire she doesn't really know how to control it and it is quickly becoming quite unwieldly and dangerous if someone doesn't intervene and help her control it.

Please help her, someone.

c. damon's bar

After the incident with the fire she's feeling a little more cautious about things. She can be found sitting behind the bar like she often is, holding a disc that she seems to be considering deep in thought. The power listed on this one is magnetism -- an ability that reminds her of Bobo Del Rey and a lot of the unpleasant memories she has of his particular power causing problems for them back in Purgatory. She's almost curious to try it just to see what it feels like -- but she's not so certain. She might need some encouragement.

d. if none of this works/you want to do something else, shoot me a pm and we can work it out!

[Natasha hadn't hoped to avoid people trying out powers here. She's not naive, or stupid. She had expected to find herself less distracted by it, though. She's used to people who are super strong.

So what if someone else is?

But it's evidence of how easily Wonderland can play with them. Not a fan.]

That's new. [Wryly. Because why leave when you can pretend you're not bothered at all. That's how this works.] Careful you don't pull something.

[Regina has very little interest in the discs herself -- 28 years without her magic, and the occasional event that takes it away by force is enough for her, thank you. But an event like this means it's a chance to relax.

..Until the smell of smoke reaches her nose as she walks along the beach and the bonfire quickly becomes apparent. From her short distance away, it definitely looks like it's starting to rage out of control, so she rushes over.]

Need some help?

Alright, try to focus on one emotion. It doesn't matter what it is, but the stronger the better.

[She has no idea if the fire power Wynonna is using is similar to her realm's magic, but it's all she has to go on. And if it comes to it, she can put the fire out herself.]

Who knows? I don't have a lot of experience with instant super powers.

[Said with a shrug, because honestly, who even knows.]

I wouldn't rule it out though, all things considered. Being strong doesn't mean you can't throw your back out.

"I'd ask why there's an entire shelf of half eaten donut boxes in our refrigerator, but I already know the answer."

The answer being a solid, all-encompassing Wynonna.

He busies himself with hauling all six boxes out of the fridge and moving the remaining donuts into one box, depositing the empty ones into the garbage. Some of those donuts looked a touch stale, but he knew better than to toss out the actual pastry. She'd eat them up until the point they started growing mold — and perhaps even past that point. It was maddening, but she wouldn't be the woman he fell in love with if she wasn't a complete mess like that.

"Well, they're in the same box now regardless," he says, pointedly dropping the box onto the rack inside the fridge so it shudders audibly. "Under normal circumstances, your teeth would have already rotted clear out of your mouth."

Leave it to him to get in a good comment about the state of her teeth. She's got untreated cavities she won't let him tend to as it is.

"I am an immortal gunslinger who ought to have perished a good hundred and thirty-one years ago, and you are the cursed great-great-granddaughter of my former best friend who spent her days sendin' revenants back to hell. You and I have never existed under normal circumstances, my dear."

Oh, he knows. And he may amp up said racket from time to time for the sole purpose of being an asshole and rattling her cage.

It helps that Wynonna has somehow managed to keep her last name under wraps. Who would have thought Doc would be exposed for the living relic he was before Wynonna outted herself as an Earp? There are days when he wonders if she'll ever come clean about that (and others where he yearns to ensure she'll never have to).

"Hopefully that ain't your way of sayin' you're startin' to." Get bored, that is.

"Good. I don't want you to ever get bored."

For a while, Doc had been waiting for her to. She'd get bored and move on and that would be that, but as time passed, that became less and less of a possibility. Wynonna was now a permanent fixture in his life, and it was a bit surreal to think that they've been together for almost a year.

So now why not go wild, right?

[Natasha can think of reasons, but she's not here to police anyone.

She just doesn't have to like it either.]

He turns towards where she's resting on the couch, gaze flickering momentarily to whatever's playing on the television. Sometimes he would sit and watch her films with her, other times he just tuned it out completely, reducing the blare of the speakers to background noise.

"That right? Think you could do this — you and I — for a couple more years to come?"

There's an impulse that's been coiling up within Doc for a few months now. One that is perhaps reckless and a bit foolish, but one he's managed to keep wound up — until now. It was sitting on a hair trigger at best before their conversation veered off in this direction, and there's no stopping it now.

His gaze meets hers and he smiles at her adoringly. "Neither can I. You have been my constant. You keep me grounded and do well to remind me of who I am, who I was, and who I ought to be."
