Who: Georgia Mason and YOU
Where: Outside, Stairs, Kitchen, Office
When: August 7
Rating: PG-13 for Georgia's mouth
Summary: Georgia's back from her trip home. She's better than she could be, but that's not saying a whole lot.
The Story:

This is not the first time Georgia has woken up at the edge of the forest. She didn't like it much the first time either.

She blinks, then cringes in the sudden light, fumbling for sunglasses that thankfully, are right in her pocket. The motion is as natural to her as walking, even after all this time not needing them. It's not that she's glad to have her fucked up eyes and the migraines that come with it, exactly, but it makes her feel like herself in a way she hasn't since before she died. It's a pain, very literally, but it's a familiar one.

Wonderland. It's been years, though if she remembers correctly--and the fact that she does remember is pretty good evidence that she has--it's been less than a month here. Most likely just a week. She hopes Shaun handled it okay. Or, as well as he handles anything related to her not being there.

She doesn't allow herself to consider the possibility that Shaun isn't here anymore. The universe is not allowed to be that cruel to her after everything she's been through.

Slowly, she stands up, taking stock of herself. She's thinner than she was. A few months of illness, followed by surgery will do that to a person. Besides that, she's more or less her new normal. Dark jeans, soft, dark red flannel shirt. She's okay to be up now, or at least, she doesn't have another choice so she sure hopes she's okay to be up, but her body still is still shaky from the surgery. She grimaces, putting a hand to her stomach, and starts towards the mansion.

When she gets to the stairs, she stops and looks up. "Fuck that." She's never really regretted taking rooms on the ninth floor, but right now, she's seeing some major downsides. She takes a moment to catch her breath, leaning against the wall, letting her sunglasses do the work in covering any pain that manages to slip into her expression. Shaun, she is sure, will not want to wait even a moment to see her again, but she doesn't want to look this pathetic when he sees her. He'll worry enough when he hears what happened without seeing physical evidence. No, she'll tell him what happened, of course, but she'll be composed and in minimal pain when she does. Bad enough that he'll probably have to carry her up the stairs.

When she feels better, she tugs out her phone and texts the word kitchen to Shaun. More seems unnecessary. Obviously she's back if she's texting him, obviously she's going to be found in the kitchen. Anything else can wait until they're together again. She walks to the kitchen, hardly limping at all, and gets herself a Coke. Then she settles down to wait, scrolling through the network to see what she missed while she waits.

She does not anticipate waiting long.

Later, Shaun carries her up all nine flights of stairs. She leans her head against his chest, annoyed, as always, at having limitations. She doesn't generally mind relying on Shaun, but having to rely on anyone for something as simple as walking up the stairs galls her. Still, she's alive, and she's in his arms. Everything is closer to okay than it's been in a long time.

Office Meeting ASAP.

Considering the account it's coming from, it's pretty clear what the context is. Georgia's back. And once she and Shaun have had their reunion, she needs to inform the rest of the team. Plus, it's been a few years. She's sure they have questions, and of course, she has answers.

She sits at her desk primly, forcing herself to keep her laptop closed. There will be time for that later.

[Feel free to run into Georgia anywhere on her way to reunite with Shaun, or afterwards when he's carrying her up the stairs! Will match format.]
