Chloe's mouth drops open a little at the pop-tart thing. She never even had those in the house (that is, until a demon moved in and upset all of her sugary breakfast rules), but it certainly helped put cake in a more promising light.
Too bad for Trixie that her mom would not remember this when she goes home.
"If you're worried about the whole having a career and being a mom thing? I'm not going to say its easy but it's possible. I was a beat cop when I had Trixie and I made it to detective by the time she was five or six." She waves a little, hoping she isn't sounding like one of Those Moms. "Not to say I don't have my doubts, you know? I'm a single parent now, so juggling that and work and my divorce, it's a lot to take on, I guess. Sometimes I definitely think I can do better by her, but I feel like most parents feel that way at one point or another."
