[Anyone looking for the newly established Mystery Room during the event will find...well, a different sort of attraction, even more spectacular than what was really supposed to be there.
Stan's Palace is a bustling beach side boardwalk, as the sign at the entrance will tell you - GLASS SHARD BEACH BOARDWALK CARNIVAL. No matter when you go in, it always appears to be sunset - just as all the lights are coming on. The entire scene is like something right out of the 1950s or 60s, complete with a penny arcade, a freak show tent, a haunted house literally called "Satan's Hellhole', and a fully functional carnival with rides. Off in the distance is a light house and a much calmer beach. Interestingly, no one seems to be on it - it's been abandoned in favor of the lights and glamour of cheap entertainment. None of the ladders and staircases down there are accessible, and if you try to jump the fence you will land right back on the boardwalk. Someone doesn't want you down there, and would rather distract you with showy lights and carnival rides.
The place is bustling, and some of the patrons are people...but most of them are walking, talking, wallets. Stan does not seem to notice the difference at the moment.
Speaking of Stan, he is at the center of everything, running the show. Instead of his usual Mr. Mystery get up, he's dressed up as an old-timey carnival barker. He looks happy enough yelling at people to come to various attractions on the boardwalk, though something else seems off about him - his hair's a bit fluffier than it usually is, and he's a little fatter in his subconscious than he is back in reality. His glasses are rounder browline glasses, and for some reason they have a crack in one of the lenses. He seems to be ignoring that too though, and doing his thing.]
Step right up folks! Come see the show of a lifetime, right here at Glass Shard Beach's greatest boardwalk! [He waits for an unsuspecting wallet person to come buy before using the megaphone in their face.] WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? BUY SOMETHING!!
[They get startled and run off, but Stan just laughs. This is a good time. He'll get the next one, probably.]
