Summary: Wonderland's first Fall Festival!
The Story:

[ There is a video message, and Leslie is standing at the very front of the Fall Festival, ready to welcome everyone in. But not without a small speech. ]

Fellow residents of Wonderland,

In my short time with you so far, I've realized people either want to be here for various reasons, or they'd really like to leave as soon as they can and don't want anything to do with any aspect of this place. Which is fair and understandable. I realize some things happened recently that reinforces the idea that we're all stuck in a miserable place with no way out and no idea how long we'll stay.

I'd like to offer a different way of coping.

The thing is, we could all be really upset and angry all the time or sad about being here, or we could take advantage of what is given to us and do something. Whether you lift up a friend or make a stranger smile, what matters is that we're all stuck together. And together, we either make this a totally crappy place that feels depressing, or we try to look out for one another. This is me, looking out for you. I want you to have fun and I want people to smile, so I created this!

[ It's now more evident that her device is on a selfie-stick as she raises it up to reveal carnival tents, rides, and games, a rollercoaster and a Ferris wheel. Then, she lowers it back down to her level. ]

I realize a Fall Festival doesn't solve any real issues. But it's a space where you can have fun, even if it's just for five minutes to win a stupid carnival prize. You don't have to come. In fact, you are more than welcome to hate it outright. But if you do give it a chance, I hope you have fun.

[ She gives a little wave and the video ends. Come one, come all, and have fun! ]

Yeah, I think most people can.

[Just because it's got two arms, two legs, and a torso, doesn't make it a human ya'll.]

I guess that makes sense. I mean does he come in the same... color, your ponies do? Isn't the other girl from your world purple? Horses aren't typically purple where I know 'em.

Ponies can be all kinds of colours, honestly. Yellow, red, brown, cyan- pretty much any colour you can imagine, there's a pony with that colour palette somewhere on their coat. It's not like humans. [Though she does get a small smile.] Starlight, yeah, she's purple.

Huh. Yeah. Most species I know stick to a color palette of some kind. Y'know, a small variety of skin tones or colors. Then again, I've seen Asari in a bunch of different types, so who knows. Genetic diversity.

[Why is she even thinking about this? Other worlds don't need to obey the same biology, but. Shrug.]

You feel any better about Lil Sebastian?

Hmm, a lot of the sentient species back home are different colours- but regular animals, dogs, pigs, rabbits- they tend to be regular colours. Never going outside a certain colour palette.

[One rule for the sentient animals, another for the rest, it seems. He casts another look at the tiny horse in question, his muzzle scrunching up a little.]

Not really, but I feel a little less like I'm having some kind of existential crisis, so thanks.

Well, glad to help on that front.

[If she can at least get him to not have a mental breakdown, she's probably doing her job well enough. Job being a casually termed sense.]

Maybe don't just keep staring at him? Have some fun. I'm sure there's something around here you'd enjoy.

[She is a good person who should feel good about herself.]

Yeah, I think I'll...do that. My friend Wendy has a lot of pies over there, I think I'll check that out.

[She grins, crossing her arms.]

Sounds fun. I'm down for pie-- mind if I join you?

[She can keep this party goin' for a bit longer. Nothing else to do.]

[He smiles nodding.]

Sure! Might as well enjoy the rest of this thing by eating ourselves into a coma.

[Shepard grins, a chuckle shaking her shoulders.]

Now that's how you go about it. C'mon, I wanna see if she made enough apple to satisfy me.

[And they'll proceed to eat themselves sick for the rest of the day.]
