It's not entirely unheard of for one in Linda's profession to suffer from a break due to the stress and emotions that are part of the job. Certainly when one has been dealing with the sort of people that Linda has, it can certainly get a lot messier and cause the mind to compensate.
Why her mind has picked Christmas though for her mental setting is beyond her.
Running her hand along the wall, moving to tug at one of the stockings, testing it as if to see if it will disappear when questioned.
"All signs point to a complete and total break from reality. I've never seen a room like this and I don't know anyone that celebrates this outlandishly." Peering at the stocking, one brow lifts in curiosity. "And while I'm familiar with the legends of Grendel, I can't imagine leaving a stocking for a mythological figure."
Repressing a sigh, she turns in place and looks around for familiar faces, anything that might let her know she hasn't entirely lost her mind. If this isn't a psychotic break, then there must be familiar faces around.
"Lucifer? Mazikeen? If this is Hell, it's definitely not like anything I ever imagined. This really makes lakes of fire into a curious metaphor."
Later in the week
Coming to realize that this isn't insanity, at last not her own, Linda is determined to learn as much as she can about this place for as long as she might be there. Even if she won't remember it, there's just too much here to study. More than that, too many people. People that make being friends with the devil and a demon almost seem common.
Even if that connection, that "safety" net that comes with the neon and familiarity of Lux doesn't often draw her there for a drink and to compose her notes in numerous notebooks she's drawn from the closets. An interesting twist on reality she can often be found toying with, tempting it with harder and more obscure things to summon.
