[All pretenses of casual conversation fall away from Wirt's Mirror. He actually seems just as angry.]

He came so close to getting our brother killed, because he just gave up on taking care of him! You'd be pissed off too if someone who looks just like you let something horrible happen to someone you love and everyone just let it go!

[That outburst seems to be enough emotion for now, and he looks a little surprised he admitted that much. He reels himself back in, and rubs at his elbow under his cape.]

...It doesn't matter. Greg isn't here anymore. Not really.

[He looks over at the chalk Gregs running around with their instruments, and thinks about the empty lantern that's still sitting in his room on Mirror Side. The one that was always empty, apparently.]

As long as he doesn't have to actually be responsible for anyone, it's probably fine. I'll never get how anyone can actually trust him though.
