+ Chalk it to me! - Mingle Log +
Who: EVERYONE!
Where: Anywhere outside on Real Side, but mostly in the gardens!
When: 3/14-3/20
Rating: PG, warn if going higher than PG-13
Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:
Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.
There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!
This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

"We need to invent the best creature Wonderland has ever seen. Something so amazing, everyone's like 'pfft Jabberwocky- who cares about that guy?'"
no subject
"Oh absolutely," she agrees. "The Jabberwock would flee from the sight of our majestic creature! It's probably never seen something so noble and good and beautiful before."
She leads Mabel over to a clean bit of ground to act as the canvas for their beautiful animal, moving between pictures and being careful not to step on them and fall in.

She's got a long list of things she wants to do before this event is over and not a whole lot of time to do it in. These things never last.
"But first! I'm thinking antlers- huge ones! I'm thinking the wings of a majestic eagle. And- wait for it- seal eyes." In a stage whisper, she adds, "They look like they can see into infinity."
no subject
Not too scary, but still intimidating in its own adorable way. It could fly up and poke you with its antlers as it stares into forever.
"I'm thinking...cat ears," she says. "I promise mine won't all be cat parts, but I've got to add at least one. And it should definitely have either stripes or polka dots. With all of the chalk around, it will be extremely good camouflage."
no subject
"What about both? There's a way to pull off clashing patterns. It's just that the people who try are exactly the ones who shouldn't be doing it at all." She is very certain about this. She's a fashion expert. "Trust me. I've got an eye for details."

Alice picks up her chalk and gets to work on her pieces of their new creation. There's something they're forgetting though, and Alice thinks really hard about it while she draws.
"I wonder what such a beautiful creature would be called...?"
no subject
Yes. Yes, she is.
no subject
A little tricky to say, but that's half the fun, isn't it?
"It should have a name too," Alice says. "So far I think it looks like a Cindy, but that might change as we draw. Names are fickle - you never know when a Cindy might be more of a Courtney or a Carol. It can change in an instant!"

She claps a hand over her chest and speaks gravely, as if this is the Most Serious.
