Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:

Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.

There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!

This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

Aw, thanks! [He says with a grateful smile. It's nice that she appreciates his artwork! The chalky beings greet Clementine in turn, even if it's in an unintelligible manner.]

Yeah. It's 'cause I'm part-gem and I've been getting all of these funky powers. So they've been training me to help me to be able to use them and to take care of myself, and I go with them on missions and everything! So I'm a Crystal Gem too. [He declares proudly.]

( Clementine blinks and raises her eyebrows a bit at all the unintelligible speech coming from the chalk people. She figures it might be weirder if they started talking. ...might want to make her draw Lee just to hear what he might say. )

Wait, you have funky powers, and you never told me? ( She's teasing, but she does smile because she can hear the pride in his voice, and he deserves to be so proud. ) Can you... show me what you can do sometime?

I think powers are really, really cool.

Sorry! [He gives a light-hearted apology, understanding that she really isn't that bothered, but he wanted to give one anyway.] I didn't mean to not tell you. It just didn't come up? Honestly, a lot of the time I have trouble keeping track of how much I've told each person I know...

[He gives a self-deprecating chuckle, but he smiles at her.]

I'd be happy to show you most of my powers. I mean, I can even show you right now! [The chalk beings seem agreeable with the idea!]

( Clementine smiles at him to show she clearly does not mind at all, no. She was teasing. ) I get it. I don't really mind. I just think it's cool to learn new awesome facts about you, Steven.

( She steps over to stand with the chalk beings if only so Steven can have some room. She's seen magic in Wonderland. She's seen some super powers before. It never fails to fascinate her. )

Yeah? I'd like to see. Show me what you got.

Alright! Well, get ready! [He rubs his hands together in anticipation.] Okay, so first, meet my shield!

[There's a glow around Steven's belly, and a pink shield materializes, held by one of Steven's hand. He proceeds to strike an action-y pose with it!]

( Clementine smiles a tiny bit, taking a step back, and then-- Holy shit. Her mouth parts, and she stares. It's amazing what he can do. God, she'd give anything for a power like that one. )

Steven, that is awesome. ( She steps forward and then knocks on the shield. )

It's pretty strong, huh?

Aw, thanks! [He smiles proudly, and then he holds the shield steady as she knocks at it.]

Careful! Yeah, it's really super strong. It can take a lot of damage, and I can throw it around too. Plus, I can make them at different sizes if I need to!

So you can protect as many people as you want to? ( Clementine smiles because she can see that in Steven. He's someone who wants to defend others, to keep them safe.

And she bets he does especially with powers like this one, but not only that. Just who he is. )

That's the goal! [He says with a cheery smile as he waves the shield around a little.]

And speaking of protecting people, I also have my bubble. Check this out!

[His shield dissipates, and he steps back a bit. Moments later, he forms a large pink bubble around himself.]

( Clementine's mouth parts in amazement as she stares at Steven, shaking her head. )

How- ( She tries to imagine this bubble in the middle of a crowd of walkers, wishes AJ could have some power like this, and Louis, and- and everyone she loves. ) That's amazing!

And nothing can break through?

[Hey, if Steven could, he'd transfer that to everyone in the multiverse who needed it. It's definitely been an invaluable power for Steven during many of the scarier events. He beams at her compliment, before he sheepishly fields her question.]

Oh, it's possible to break it. But it takes a lot! One time, this bubble withstood a harpoon!

[He soon presses his face against the side of the bubble and starts making funny faces.]

( Clementine frowns slightly at the thought of someone tossing a harpoon at Steven. Her jaw might even lock a bit protectively, but she does get he comes from a world with dangers of its own. It's the whole reason a shield or bubble's even needed. )

Someone tossed a harpoon at you? ( But she smirks at the funny faces he's making. Oh, Steven. )

...also good for making funny faces, I see.

[Steven giggles as his funny faces are called out. And then he nods along, while making the bubble dissipate.]

Yeah... Actually, it was launched at the bubble. And I asked for it to happen. Because that was the first time my bubble activated, and I didn't know how to turn it off. So I was trying all kinds of ways to pop it!

( Steven's giggle has Clementine smiling in amusement. )

Sounds like it was difficult to learn how to get a handle on it, but look at you now. You've got this. ( He turns the bubble on and off without any trouble at all like it's so easy to do. )

[He smiles warmly. He knows he's come a long way, but Clementine complimenting him about it makes him feel even prouder.]

Thanks Clementine. Yeah, I do got this! [He pumps a fist proudly!] It took a long time, but I think I've gotten the hang of most of my powers. Ooh, I should float next!
