Summary: Alice has invited everyone, Reals and Mirrors alike, to come color outside in the nice spring weather with magic chalk. Surely nothing could go wrong with that plan, right?
The Story:

Outside, the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's not too hot, but not too cold either, and no one would have ever realized there was snow on the ground yesterday if they hadn't been here to see it. The grass is green and everything is dry - no sign of melted snow anywhere at all. Flowers have begun to bloom and it truly looks as though it's been spring for some time already. The season has changed abruptly and now Wonderland's decided it's time for it to be nice out.

There are many paths through the gardens, the vendors, and the hedge maze that can be drawn on, but as Alice demonstrated in her post, there's no need at all to stick to pavement only. Even the air can be decorated with living drawings!

This is a log for people who want to come color outside or people who want to check out what others are doing out here. It isn't strictly to interact with Alice, but she'll be around and will have a top level.

[She seems amused by his magic aversion, but that doesn't stop her from reaching forward and placing a hand on his arm gently.]

Don't worry. You won't feel a thing.

[And with that, a deep red column of smoke appear around them, sweeping them up, before dropping them down in front of the door in question.]

[He doesn't flinch under her hand. A few years ago, when he first fell into this place, an unexpected touch would have brought on that kind of reaction... but not anymore.

Dan draws in a sharp breath through his teeth when she speaks, as if to reply to her before they are suddenly surrounded by smoke and the world abruptly changes around them.

To his credit, he doesn't turn as pale as he expected to, and he only has to lean against a wall for a moment.]

Fuckin' hell.

[She keeps her hand steady on his arm, looking over at him with a bit of concern.]

You okay?

Uh... yeah. Yeah, 'm fine.

[Not the worst thing that's ever happened to him. He feels better than when he woke up any of the times he was abducted, anyway. The smile he gives her is dim around the edges, but it's there.]

Don't know if teleportin' in 'ere was the best plan, but we ain't stuck in a wall, so 'll take it.

[ ... She frowns at him, confused.]

Is that a thing that happens where you're from?

[Because that is not a thing with her form of teleportation.]

Teleporting ain't a thing where 'm from. Magic ain't a thing.

[No forms of teleportation at all, unless you count the kind of crazy tech that the Think Tank could probably come up with.]

'm just glad I got 'ere in one piece.

[Hokay. She doesn't opt to debate it and just nods, before moving to look at the door.]

Are you ready to head in then?

Yeah... Yeah.

[He places a hand on the door, gingerly, as if expecting something to happen simply by touching it. Nothing happens. He drops his fingers to the handle.]

Won't be the first time 've walked into a place I shouldn't be.

[She nods, waiting behind him, magic at the ready. She was never really good at fireballs like Regina was, but she's got other tricks up her sleeve.]

[Dan nods, and pushes the door handle down.

As he opens the door, it immediately seems to get stuck on something. He lifts his eyebrows, and places his shoulder to the wood to give it a forceful shove. Whatever is trapped behind it shifts enough to get it open, and he takes the lead in stepping inside.

What they find... is a room crammed full of cat trees ranging from the simple to the ridiculously elaborate. There's barely enough space for two grown adults to move between them, and Dan can't help the laugh he lets out.]

Well... fuck. I don't know what else I should'a expected.

[She pokes her head around him and laughs as well, shaking her head as she makes her way inside.]

Yeah, I don't know why I'm surprised either. Maybe because it's just so ... absurd.

Y' think?

[He makes a face, stepping carefully around one of the cat trees and promptly bumping into another one. So much for that careful stealth that had kept him alive all these years.]

I mean, 'e's a fuckin' cat. I dunno if we should'a expected anythin' else... Wonder if 'e's around. See anythin'?

[She hesitates, before looking around to try and see what she can make out.]

Here, kitty kitty. If you come on out, I might be able to ... rustle you up some milk?

Shishishi. I would prefer fish.

[The Cheshire Cat fades into existence at the top level of one of the cat trees, above their heads, but lying on its back with its head hanging down, looking at them upside down.]

... Sure. I can do fish.

[And with that she will find a closet and start focusing on some red snapper.]
