[Lapis has been skeptical of this event from the word go -- there are just so MANY problems with the premise -- and so by the later days she pretty much gets exactly what's going on. And it's stupid. But there doesn't seem to be anything to actually do about it besides wait it out, wary for any additional complications, so in the meantime she's basically doing what she normally does, which is nothing. Really this isn't even that different from Wonderland proper.
So anyway, she sorta recoils a bit when the cat jumps into her lap, but not enough to discourage it even slightly, and then Ange comes over and that explains it. Lapis squints up at her, largely ignoring the cat for the moment. She understands that most people are not going to remember her right now, and in her estimation there's generally no point trying to argue with someone caught up in an event... although considering she remembered, it might not be completely hopeless. At most, that'll have to be felt out.
There's also the fact that it's Ange, and after the things they've talked about recently, seeing her here practically seems like purposeful dramatic irony. Lapis finds herself conscious of how very different the situation must be for her than for Ange right now, as if she were in the audience for that proverbial drama, or as if she's been given a position of responsibility. She's gonna try and play it cool. Which is okay since that's also basically what these two normally do when they talk.]
