Georgia Mason | student | ota
[Most of Georgia's spare time is spent here. As far as she's concerned, it's more important than her actual school work. Sure, the stories she gets tend to be pretty low stakes, but it's good practice for when she graduates. She's going to be a journalist. That much she's sure of.
She's not sure she'll be able to actually publish the piece she's working on now, but it still feels good. She'll need to do a lot more research to back up her general frustration and anger, but she's got no doubt her instincts here are right. Mr. Pines is a fraud and should not be teaching. And if she can get him fired, she won't be stuck in summer school with him.
For now though, it's all opinion and anger and not nearly enough facts. Sometimes, you need to do that to get your thoughts straight before the real work begins.]
Library
[She might prefer her work at the newspaper to her actual classes, but she's aware that they're still important. She's got plans, and those plans will be a lot easier to achieve if she does well in high school. So she's in the library, at a table piled high with books, and focusing very hard.
Disturb her at your own risk.]
Lunch
[On the off chance you feel like running into Georgia when she won't destroy you for interrupting her, she does occasionally take meal breaks. She's actually looking up at the world around her even, watching people through her sunglasses. Hard to say who exactly she's looking at. Might be you. Might not be. Maybe she's just thinking about her next story.
Either way, she's about as relaxed as she gets. She won't smile at anyone who approaches, but she'll at least nod cordially. It's the best you can expect from her.]
Wildcard
[CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCENARIO I'm sure we can find something if none of these work.]
Lunch
Watcha doin?
no subject
Playing basketball.
[What does it look like she's doing?]
no subject
Oh yeah, you're gonna go far for the team this season, I can tell.
[Just stealing more of her food.]
So. How goes your crusade against Pines? You winning any ground?
no subject
[She smiles, baring her teeth.]
I'm just preparing for the final.
no subject
Oh, so there's no dastardly plan to get Pines canned? How sad. I had high hopes.
no subject
[And if they don't fire him, she'll have another article to write.]
no subject
Getting him with the bureaucracy of the school board. I like it. Direct.

I mean the faculty aren't exactly famed for their great life decisions here. This was pretty inevitable, hiring an actual crazy person, I mean.
newspaper room
I heard from like five different students you're tryin' to get Pines fired, and I just want you to know that I've always been lenient on your physical science grades, even if you'd make a shitty engineer.
[Look, his engineering-dominated physical science classes are really not accessible to people who don't want to make things explode.]
no subject
You know I'd ace every safety protocols test if you ever gave them.

newspaper room;
She also likes to make sure they don't overwork themselves, but that's pretty much a losing battle when it comes to Georgia Mason. ]
I know you don't want to hear it, but you do have to go back to your room eventually.
no subject
I'll go there when I'm done. Promise.
[An easy promise to make when there's no definition of what "done" will look like.]

[ Julia grabs a seat and rests next to her, although she avoids reading over her shoulder. She hates when people do that. ]
What giant are you toppling today?

[ There's a smile on her face that says that's only because of politics and nothing to do with actually being offended. Cussing is scientifically healthy, after all. ]
What's your proof?
no subject
Attending his class. The idiot tells so many stories of his past crimes. And I record all my classes.
no subject
[ Her eyes widen, but now she's totally on board. ]
What has he admitted to?

Okay. You go get him. I'll edit it when you're done. [ Julia is ready to leave her to her whims but... ] Okay, I can't. I have to ask how the llamacide came up.
