Summary: Open log for the Persona 4 event! Everyone is spending some time as students and instructors at Yasogami High School in Inaba, Japan.
The Story:
For the weekend, everyone is either a teacher or a student at a Japanese high school. Enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and look forward to exams on Monday.

She can only make a shrill squeaking sound that is clearly one big massive YES PLEASE THANK YOU. She just can't formulate proper words right now.

She flops on the ground and begins to tear off her shoes. "You're helping me reach a lifelong dream I never even knew I had."

Juliet finishes pulling off her skates and hands them over to Mabel. Usually, Juliet is not the rule-breaking type, but to be fair, there aren't any rules in the school handbook about rollerskating. Juliet knows, because she memorized all of them. And while she might be well-behaved and rule-abiding, that doesn't mean she also doesn't know how to outsmart the rules when she wants to.

Plus, being considered 'cool' in the eyes of another student is kind of a good feeling.

"Do you know how roller skate?"

"Pffft. Of course. I'm amazing at it." And this isn't really an exaggeration. She gets to her feet, bracing against the wall to keep her balance and starts to pick up momentum, eventually turning backwards and effectively moonwalking with roller skates.

"I've watched a dozen 80's romcoms set at roller rinks. I've been trying to use skate tricks to attract cute boys for years." She circles back with a broad, braces-lined grin. "Hasn't worked yet, but I'll force it to work one day."

Roller skating isn't as cool as it once was, but she'll make it cool again.

Juliet stands and watches her, crossing her arms over her chest and smiling.

"I'm pretty sure you can't force anything to attract cute boys. Mostly because boys are idiots." Juliet certainly has her fair share of boyfriend drama, and she does her best to avoid it. Luckily, she's been too distracted by upcoming midterms to worry about it too much.

"You are really good though. Why aren't you in roller skate club? It's not just for upperclassmen."

She pivots in front of Juliet and then sort of awkwardly skates in place like some sort of weird roller skating moonwalk situation. "'Cause choosing a club is hard. If I choose one club, I'm rejecting all of the other clubs. Even if I join more than one, there's still so many others I can't join. I can't take all that pressure. I have so many talents."

"Right."

It's not that Juliet doesn't believe her--she has no doubt the kid is talented--but she wasn't sure she'd ever meet someone more neurotic than her. It's pretty impressive.

"I think you can join more than one club. Or just do it for a while and change to another, and find the one you like the most." A little flaky, maybe, but still reasonable options. Besides, Mabel is young. This is her opportunity to be flaky.
