Thread (complete)
Who: Lisa Garland (
alonetomorrow) and Harry Mason (
picksupstrays)
Where Simon's room
When: After this log
Rating: PG-13 at most, probably
Summary: Lisa (through methods unrecorded) talks to Simon and gets Harry's location. So she decides to pay him a visit.
the Story:
The fourth floor. Lisa kept that in mind as she ascended the stairs, finding that she was walking much faster than usual.
Harry was hurt. Well, she honestly wasn't too surprised, from reading his journal pages. But he was hurt.
She...had to do something. Support him, somehow.
Even though she wasn't Jodie.
And maybe Lisa wouldn't ever be able to get Harry to rely on her like he did (or still does) with his wife (she knew they didn't have that kind of closeness. She wouldn't expect it either).
But still...
She is let into Simon's room, and she remembers to thank the doctor. She enters the room where Harry is. The shock of seeing him with his eyes covered washes over her like cold hands to her shoulders, but somehow her expression remains calm.
Perhaps it was her experience as a nurse.
This wasn't so different, really.
It was just a friend in the bandages this time.
She keeps her voice steady, "Harry? It's me, Lisa."
