Where The Beach
When: Now? After the upside down event
Rating: G, I would expect
Summary: Nill visits the beach
the Story:
It was a place that she had seen a few times since her arrival at the mansion. She had tried to spend more time outside, enjoying the sunlight that was still foreign to her. Nill stood at the edge of the beach, eyeing the sand hesitantly from her place on the last bit of grass before the ground gave way to sand. She had never even seen sand before, let alone an ocean before. The girl had snuck away from Naoto to come down here and finally confront it. Nill stared sternly out across the beach, wanting it to know that she wasn’t afraid. On the inside, her heart was pounding with her own nervousness, tinged with excitement. The girl closed her eyes and took a deep breath, wings bristling behind her with her own anxiety.
With a slightly uneasy smile she took her firsts steps into the uncharted territory, wobbling slightly as her feet sank slightly in the sand. She paused a few feet in, crouching down to get a better look at the uneven surface, pushing her fingers curiously against the warm sand, trying to scoop it up only to watch it slip through her fingers. Nill stood, holding her hand over face to examine the bits of sand that had clung to her hand. Her nose wrinkled and she blinked furiously as some of it had managed to fall into her eye, the girl no longer sure if she liked sand.
With the sand cleared from her eye, Nill continued along toward her main target—the water. She watched the waves wash up against the shore, approaching with caution. She moved only a few inches into the area of wet sand, stepping back quickly as the waves approached. Once they had receded she went further than she had been before, again quickly scurrying back as the waves approached. Delighted with her game, Nill moved further and further forward each time.
