Because as it is Philip doesn't think he can get the both of them all the way up to the fifth floor... not with the amount of effort he's currently willing to spare.

But hey, one of the infinite number of empty rooms somewhere on the other side of this floor will do, just as long as it's far away from the sounds of the dance.
