+ Now the Jingle Hop has begun [OPEN] +

Who: Everyone [OPEN]
Where The Ballroom
When: December 18th, 6PM-midnight (oocly however long you want to keep logging)
Rating: Well gosh, that really depends on you folks and how you behave, doesn’t it? I’m going to tentatively guess PG-13 though.
Summary: The mansion's decided to throw you all a party out of the goodness of its heart. You know, if it has one. This is the open log for the Jingle Bell Rock portion of the event!
the Story:

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air.

What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go gliding in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell,
That's the jingle bell,
That's the jingle bell rock.

The ballroom is decorated extravagantly for the occasion, with all of the same sorts garland and holly and lights covering the rest of the mansion, at the moment. There is another tree at the far side of the room as well, though not nearly the size of the one in the front hall, decorated in a very classy white. From the ceiling, fake snow is falling from somewhere that can’t quite be seen, but it does not seem to gather on the floor more than a flake or two.

There are tables with chairs to one side, near a table filled with delicious food and beverages of all kinds, from wine to wassail to eggnog and more. The rest of the space is reserved for dancing.

We could tell you that the mansion is going to force you to dance forever and ever or something, perhaps until your feet fall off, but we won’t. Gosh, you’re all so suspicious. I mean really. The party-goers may wonder at first, some entering very suspicious of the mansion’s intentions, but it will quickly become apparent that for once…for once, it doesn’t seem to be a trap.

So giddy-up, jingle horse, pick up your feet and jingle around the clock. You can even go mix and mingle in the jingling feet. That’s the Jingle Bell Rock!

"Yes, quite. The Mansion did a good job, everyone seems to be having fun," Nozomu said, although his expression said otherwise.

"You look quite pretty."

"Why thank you~ You look very nice yourself. Are you enjoying the dance, Itoshiki-san?"

Though it was obvious from the other's face that he didn't find this amusing in the least.

"Thank you, Asakura-san. I'm afraid I'm not too good at dancing. But I do enjoy watching the people. And the food is quite delicious too."

Nozomu sighed and gestured to an empty chair beside Ryoko. "May I have the pleasure of sitting next to you?"

Man was he glad his students weren't here.

"Please, go ahead. The pleasure is all mine."

"Thank you."

Nozomu sat on the chair next to Ryoko.

"Do you dance?"

[identity profile] so-please-die.livejournal.com 2010-12-21 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
She shakes her head slightly.

"I can't say I've had too many opportunities to try but I don't think I'd be very good. I don't have enough experience for such a thing."

"Asakura-san is pretty and talented. I'm sure even if you mess up you will look...fin..e.."

Nozomu turns red a bit. This was awkward. ALL THIS POSITIVENESS AND COMPLIMENTING IS AWKWARD.

Ryoko giggles a bit, knowing very well that there must be some type of event going on to affect the way the other spoke. The Nozomu she's observed was much more negative.

Nozomu's flushed face turns to a deeper color as Ryoko giggled, thinking that she was laughing at him. A sigh escaped his mouth.

"I...shouldn't speak..."

[identity profile] so-please-die.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's all right, Itoshiki-san. No need to be so self-conscious about the charm of your words."

Ryoko pauses for a moment, briefly wondering if there was a way to override this forced double entendre way of speaking. Though this doesn't mean that she isn't storing this observation for later study.

"It seems that there is something affecting everyone one way or another and we can only wait until it's finished."

Nozomu nodded, seeming that he was really not going to speak for the rest of the day. It was depressing enough he had to speak positive, if he started saying positive embarrassing things to Ryoko (who age-wise reminded him of his students) then Nozomu was sure to try hanging himself on the Christmas Tree.

Ryoko is more than happy to observe what's going on around her than to further ruin the conversation with her curse. And if Nozomu does choose to try to hang himself on a Christmas Tree she'll take that under observation as well. :3c

He's done it before, it won't be odd if he does it again. But then again, that would traumatize children about Christmas...

While Nozomu contemplated on the thought of suicide, he noms a cake. Since thinking is fine.
