Summary: Two People just happen to meet at the market

Jean was walking through the vendor's stalls, looking at the various weapons for sale. She wasn't sure if she wanted to buy any, but it seemed like a habit to always go back and but the newest thing, trading in her old weapons and armor. She was bundled a bit against the cold, wearing a loose fitting tunic and trousers under a long coat. Her hair was still in her ever present ponytail. She paused, noticing the other resident out shopping.

She waved cheerfully.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Don't you think you can get away with a high price just because it's cold and I'm f-f-fucking f-freezing! Lower it!"

Haru hadn't been out long but even in the fur coat and warm hat the quarter was still freezing his ass off in the old. He slipped a hand from the pockets of his coat to flip off the vendor. The two continued arguing while the item being argued over currently sat rather innocent looking in a small case. Six vials of good quality Fire Candy.

Jena paused, stand a little ways away from where Haru was yelling at the vendor. It seemed like she shouldn't intrude.

"What are you looking at Jean?" He muttered. "Haven't you seen two people haggling before?"

"I was just saying 'hi'. I didn't expect to see you outside, since you said you hated the cold."

"I do~ But I needed to get this and the merchants are the only ones who do it right."

"Oh, what is it? Are they asking for memories?"

"It's um..." Haru frowns and looks away from her. He doesn't really want to explain.

"It's candy. A special type of candy and it's not that- I know how much it should cost. I used to get it more often than this."

"It's from your world then?"

Jean looked, but it looked more like a potion than a candy.

"Maybe a different vendor will have it?"

"They do. They're not as nice as the ones I can get here."

"I suppose that is a problem then. I don't even know how supply and demand works in a palce like this,m so who knows how they come up with prices?"

"The Queen probably sets the prices and everyone knows she's unfair." He rolled his eyes. It wasn't very plausible but hey this is wonderland.

"That's true. I really don't like her."

"You know of anyone who does?"

"The mirrors, it seems."

"They don't really love her. At least I don't' think they do."

"I haven't met many mirrors. Although it seems my mirror murdered someone and worships Zophar, so I don't think they're good people."

"What the hell is a Zophar? Some of them are. Soubi's mirror isn't bad. I'd say away from Ryouho's if you can help it. Gokudera's is...exactly like him. Mine is a complete idiot."

"Zophar is the god of evil and darkness. I haven't met too many of them. I think I met Canada's, but his wasn't that different."

"Some of them are weird, some of them are nice. I guess it all depends on the person on this side~"

"I suppose. You said your's was dumb, does that mean you're really smart then?"

"Smarter~"

"It's good then, if you can outsmart him."

"It's cold out here, isn't it? I wonder how long winter is supposed to last in this climate?"
