Alex is engaged in a shocking quest to be more, well, engaged with the day-to-day goings on of Wonderland. He keeps getting stuck in cycles of self-imposed isolation, waiting for the place to send him home so that he can complete his damn job and get some peace, overlooking the opportunities for home-ish-ness that the mansion occasionally offers.
